Hate-Speech and Tax-Exemption for Obama's Church

We've all seen the racist, bigoted ranting of "Father" Michael Pfleger at the Trinity Unity Church of Christ. Obama's church. Pfleger has been another of Obama's spiritual mentors for 20 - count them - TWENTY years, much like Rev. Jeremiah Wright. What's the saying, by your friends "ye shall be known?" Now, come on. Anyone believe Obama didn't know about Mikey's speech? Anyone believe Mikey and Jerry were not acting as surrogates? It's the old game. Let the surrogates attack and then the candidate can denounce them and give the no-apology apology. Just two questions:
1) Why hasn't Father Michael Pfleger been arrested under "hate-speech" statutes? Don't you think he has stirred up anti-white racial tensions? Didn't you see the racists in the congregation clapping their hands and shouting out those hearty "amens"? The only thing close to anything resembling what you might hear in a church were the "amens." 2) Why hasn't the IRS yanked the tax-exempt status out from under the Trinity Unity Church of Christ pending investigation? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that the church is a front for race-baiting and hate-mongering. And once again, white America gets to see what should really be embarrassing to many black Americans who are Christian and an eye-opener for the rest of America.
If Barack Obama does not "win" the presidency this November, it won't be because white Americans are racists; it won't be because white Americans are not ready for a black president. Your average, garden-variety white American who may have a bit of racist feelings can't hold a candle to the clap-trap going on in Chicago - good grief! Certainly the congregation of 8,000 in that so-called church have a corner on some really strong anti-white, anti-American racist attitudes... As for white America, the non-guilt ridden, non-far-left liberal-socialist folks, we are ready for a president of integrity, regardless of skin color. We bought Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s line, about "content of their character, not the color of their skin." However, the race-baiters and hate-mongers just won't let the "skin color" thing go. Why not? Because they make their living on feeding that "inferiority" hype to THEIR willing victims. You know how to tell when the members in the congregation were getting the bumb's rush, the hustle? When Mikey - the white guy - went into his "shuck and jive," his mocking of a white woman, his use of profanity. And the congregation ate it up like candy. Weren't you embarrassed for them to allow themselves to continue to be used? I am no great defender of Hillary Clinton but Pfleger's mocking of her was very "manly" don't you think? Very Christian for a priest? Yep, good mentor there fostering forgiveness, tolerance, and love... I heard one commentator on the O'Reilly Show say that Pfleger's comments were good because we need to talk about racism in America. Let's talk about black-on-white crime, how 'bout that? And, maybe we do need to talk about race but this isn't the way to do it. I've paid my share of reparations, thank you very much, and I don't want to pay any more. What is it now? Over 5-6 trillion dollars in entitlements? You want to talk about racism. Talk to me about "affirmative action" and all the white men who have lost jobs or promotions to less qualified people over the last thirty years. You want to talk to me about racism in America. Run the tapes of Jeremiah Wright and Michael Pfleger and then let's chat. The minute you try to excuse their racist foaming at the mouth, the conversation is over. Case closed. Their hate-mongering is no different than the vile hatred coming from the mouths of Islamist imams who want to destroy our nation. Which voters do you think put Barack Obama in the position to be the Democrat nominee for President of the United States? And how many of those same folks "clinging to their guns and religion" do you think will vote for the messianic Obama in November? Anyone think he'll carry Iowa after all this mess? After the "useful white idiots" have figured out what Lenin meant when he described "Marxist sympathizers in the West" with such derision (leaving out the white, of course)... Race relations are being put back decades by men such as Wright and Pfleger and that is every bit of what these hate-mongers want; bigotry and racist hate-mongering is what butters their bread and fills their coffers. They have to feed the beast and we all fall for it every darn time. And better yet, with Obama in the White House, how long do you think it would take before you'd see the likes of Wright and Pfleger prancing around, spewing their hatred in your face from the West Wing? Not a pretty sight... They are salivating for the chance. Can't ya see it; can't ya feel the uniting love?

Discussing Islam is a crime? For Muslims maybe...

Perhaps discussing Islam is a crime, for Muslims certainly...and according to the European Arrest Warrant, for me too... (scroll down about three pages in the link to find the text) Let's forget about "defaming" Islam like the "defaming" of Christianity (which is not a crime) that goes on non-stop throught the Middle East. According to the United Nations, even discussing Islam is a "crime"; it is "defaming" Islam; even sitting around in a dorm room at midnight having a bull-session talking philosophy and tossing around tenets of Islam is "defaming" Islam. To check out a few of those tenets, click over to UP Pompeii and read in the sidebar about "The Koran is above all a book of war - a call to butcher non-Muslims." References are provided for the not so faint at heart. I suspect any ideology that is so fragile as to need a UN resolution to "protect" it probably has something to hide and is working mightily to cover the truth about the ugliness and tyranny of the tenets of Islam. To illustrate that point, three men are scheduled to pay with their lives for criticizing Islam and the Mullahs' tyranny in Iran: Qur'an critic to be executed in Iran within days. All three men have dual-citizenship: Iranian and American, German, and British.

British citizen to be executed in Iran by May 31, 2008?

This is an ALERT from Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch. The post is: Qur'an critic to be executed in Iran within days. Maybe as early as tomorrow, Saturday, May 31, 2008, Dr. Foroud Fouladvand, a British citizen and an expert on Islam, is to be executed in Iran for speaking out against Islam and the Mullah's tyranny. Dr. Fouladvand is to be executed alongside Mr. Nazem Schmidtt, aka, Simorgh, and Iranian/American citizen, and Mr. Alexander Valizadeh, and Iranian/German citizen, aka Koroush Lor. From Robert Spencer: "Please contact anyone you can. Alert government officials, the press, the Amnesty International, and the human rights organizations in your country of residence." Going to Great Britain for holiday? Think again!

With a hat/tip to Rogue-Gunner, read Britain is now worse than Iraq and read the attached links. Then you may want to re-think those travel plans.

Bibles burned in Israel and more

You won't believe this one. With Christians in North America, Europe, and across the planet supporting Israel as she faces the encroaching might in sheer numbers, if nothing else, of the Islamic hoards, some Israelis are busy burning the New Testament as reported by Daniel J. Cassidy in his post, New Testaments Torched in Israel with key information from a CNN report. And now to balance the actions of a few youth: Other news you may find of interest from Latest Headlines from Vigilant Freedom/910 Group Bloggers. Many posts are in languages other than English as we are an international community of bloggers. Enjoy!: From Always on Watch: Jon Voight on Israel. It is always a breath of fresh air to hear a Hollywood personality speak with common sense. From KGS at Tundra Tabloid: Austria: Muslim Whining Alert...! From Sergei Bourachaga via the Baron at the Gates of Vienna: The Koran and the Psychopathology of the Prophet (Part 1). Bourachaga wrote the post and submitted it to the "Public Message Forum" of the Canadian Coalition for Democracies. The post was removed within 24 hours. So much for freedom of truthful speech and discourse in Canada. We need to be reminded that Sharia Law which "protects" Islam from even being discussed by infidels, let alone questioned, is the law of the United Nations. See Defaming Islam. Irish Catholics praying for a NO vote on Treaty of Lisbon

The Irish Catholics are praying for a NO vote on the Treaty of Lisbon, in this article, they tell why, here. A few of their reasons follow: "Some Catholic prayer groups are praying for the Lisbon Treaty to be rejected, according to a Reuters report. Some Catholics in Ireland fear the new treaty will create loopholes allowing the EU to force Ireland to relax its strict abortion laws, permit same sex marriages and erode what they regard as traditional religious values. Some groups have sent text messages urging the devout to recite the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy, a rosary-like prayer cycle, in their request for a No vote. An advert placed by one group in a Catholic newspaper this month called on members of the faith to reject the treaty because it would create a 'new European identity based on radical secularism and atheistic philosophies'." ~~~~~ They are right but the truth is that Europe will not remain "based on radical secularism and atheistic philosophies" for long. Secularism is only a transition, a cavity, a void, an empty space, a vacuum that will be filled, and the filling will be Islam.

Great Britain - An Islamic Republic by 2038

Merry Ole England, merry no more! That's right. Projections are that by 2038, England will be a Muslim nation. Well, unless England stops any more importation of practitioners of the "religion of peace" dead in its tracks and gets it house in order, I'm predicting that Merry Ole England will become an Islamic Republic sooner than 2038. That is what the EU is all about, is it not? Read here for reference to Gates of Vienna. So, Queenie, move over, Baby! Make room for the Ayatollah! You will have to repair to the kitchen, mum. And find a place to store that stained glass from what is now Westminster Abby, eh? From Jihad Watch, with H/T to Little Green Footballs, we have UK - Muslim nation by 2038? I'm going to insert some of the post because it deserves a read. (emphasis added) ~~~~~
At all levels of national life Islam has gained state funding, protection from any criticism, and the insertion of advisors and experts in government departs national and local. A Muslim Home Office adviser, for example, was responsible for Baroness Scotland’s aborting of the legislation against honour killings, arguing that informal methods would be better. In the police we hear of girls under police protection having the addresses of their safe houses disclosed to their parents by Muslim officers who think they are doing their religious duty. While men-only gentlemen’s clubs are now being dubbed unlawful, we hear of municipal swimming baths encouraging ‘Muslim women only’ sessions and in Dewsbury Hospitals staff waste time by turning beds to face Mecca five times a day — a Monty Pythonesque scenario of lunacy, but astonishingly true. Prisons are replete with imams who are keen to inculcate conservative Islam in any inmates who are deemed to be culturally ‘Muslim’: the Prison service in effect treats such prisoners as a cultural block to be preached to by imams at will. Would the Prison service send all those with ‘C of E’ on their papers to confirmation classes with the chaplain?! We could go on. The point is that Islam is being institutionalised, incarnated, into national structures amazingly fast, at the same time as demography is showing very high birthrates. Charles Taylor’s new and classic work on the Secular Age charts the rise of the secular mindset and what he calls the ‘excarnation’ of Christianity as it is levered out of state policy and structures. Christianity is now regarded as bad news, the liberal elite’s attack developed in the 1960s took root in the educationalist empire, and to some extent even in areas of the church.
~~~~~ It seems - surprise - not too many Christians are going to church these days in Merry Ole England. Not to worry! In 2038, they'll all be going to mosque - no if's, and's, or but's. Once those "religious police" get cracking with their switches, they'll get all the former Christians in line. Best be finding places to hide your Bibles now, kiddies, 'cause it'll be way too late by 2038. Let me point out, the liberal, secular elites with not be immune from the switches of the "religious police". I do believe Europe has been swept with Mad Cow's Disease or some such disorder. And to back that up, I recommend another example of the inmates running the asylum, U.K. - Muslim gangs taking control of high security prison. H/T to Jihad Watch And psst, in case no one is paying attention, an Islamic England means America no longer has that once strong ally across the pond. Hmmm....many questions come to mind.
Ireland: Beat back the Tyranny of the EU/Eurabia
On June 12th, 2008, the Irish people will have a chance to vote against the Treaty of Lisbon, aka, the European Constitution in legal-speak. If you read no other articles or posts about this vote and the weightiness of it, please for your freedom and your liberty, and yes, even for Western Civilization, READ the following post at the Gates of Vienna: Strong Arming Opposition to the EU. The EU and hence all the twists and turns - and even threats - to get you to "vote" to strangle your freedoms and to betray you into Eurabia, the Islamification of Europe, picture the Dementors from Harry Potter sweeping across your fair land, has been moving apace for decades now - under the guise of "free trade" and of "hating the ugly Americans". After all, what are the Americans good for except believing in freedom so much so that they were willing to leave home, hearth, family, wife and children, to fight and die, on the Beaches of Normandy - those crosses that mark the graves of those brave military personnel mark the graves of flesh-and-blood men who gave their all for Europe to be free...was that loss all in vain? Were their deaths for nothing? Did the Resistance in France, did Oriana Fallaci and her kin in Italy fight in vain? Freedom is never free...not then, not now, not ever! When have we, since our Revolutionary War, called upon you to fight and die for our freedoms. We are asking you today - I am begging you today - to stand for freedom - your freedom, and yes, ours. If you can stand up to the tyranny of the EU, we may garner the courage to stand up to NAFTA and the North American Union which is moving at a stealthy pace (without our vote) to unite arguably one of the most ruthless and corrupt nations - certainly not law-abiding - on earth with the United States and Canada. Over 12,000 Americans are killed on our highways every year by drunk driving illegal aliens from Mexico and our government imports more killers. We are actually at war along our southern border where our own State Department warns that Americans are not safe to travel there...back to, Do not be hypnotized by the black-clad women in veils and flowing robes or by silken words of the ministers of the EU in Brussels, your NEW overlords. At the end of the road is tyranny and slavery... Read the post at the Gates of Vienna. Please. Stop Islamic Imperialism in its tracks. But, Beach Girl, this is just about trade. Sure; sure it is. On June 12th, Ireland - Ireland, please rise up and vote NO! on The Treaty of Lisbon. The EU is appeasement; the European Union is Neville Chamberlain writ LARGE! Can you imagine the blood that will be shed to reclaim your nations and your homelands when the tyranny of the EU/Islamic Republics must once again be dealt with head-on? Do you want that for your children, your grandchildren? And will they even be able to reclaim their heritage once lost? Americans are being sold out today, even as I write; I fear the price we as ordinary citizens will pay for the greed of our "leaders." Globalization is about trade but it is about more; it is a man-made corporate phenomenon much like earlier monopolies; it does not have to be about abandoning our national identity. It does not have to be about forcing all nations to be a hodge-podge of multicultural, multi-linguistic gray gruel, weakened and defenseless. You see, it is "we the people" - strong nations - everywhere that the new power-brokers fear and seek to control and enslave. Read Orwell's 1984 again. As I write this to you, I hear the Garth Brooks' song thundering in the background, "Ireland, I'm coming home..I can see your waving fields of green, your fences made of stone...Ireland, Ireland!" And I can see the sun sparkling off of the gold-red hair of your green-eyed girls playing in the sunlight because I have a child whose eyes carry the green of the Emerald Isle and whose auburn-brown hair catches the sun. When you vote, remember the 1500 year-old Buddhas in Afghanistan riddled with gunfire and blown-up by the Taliban...remember the young women clad in pale blue burkas driven onto a soccer field, pitifully shot in the head for some unknown infraction as they were forced to stand in the grass shivering in fear before the screaming crowd of barbaric men. Remember the "honor killings" occurring in Europe, the female mutilation, the beatings, the streets of one town running with the blood of slaughtered sheep, the no-go towns of England and the no-go areas of France, and much more and remember your vote will be to keep your freedom or to vote yourselves into servitude... Pray God, there will always be an Ireland! With lush, green rolling hills and fences made of stone...with Celtic crosses and cathedrals across the land... The VOTE on S. 22, Post 9/11 Vets Educ. Act of 2007
If you Veterans and/or families of Veterans and/or patriotic Americans who know the good that bills commonly know as the G.I. Bill of the past have done for our nation, this is a bill to support, especially now that the Senate has gotten those amnesty amendment tag-alongs by the "give citizenship to lawbreakers" first crowd. Many conservatives were against the bill in its early stages due to the abominable amnesty amendment add-on methods. The following is a synopsis of S.22, Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2007 sponsored by Senator Jim Webb and co-Sponsored by Senator John Warner, both of the Commonwealth of Virginia: FACTS ABOUT THE “POST-9/11 VETERANS EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE ACT” (S. 22) The bipartisan Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act (S. 22) expands the educational benefits for those who have served since September 11, 2001. S. 22 not only takes into account the substance and intent of the educational benefits received under the original World War II GI Bill, but also the reality of costs associated with college education today. A companion bill, the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance (H.R. 2702), has been introduced in the House of Representatives by Representative Bobby Scott (D-VA). SIGNIFICANT PROVISIONS OF S.22 • Under this bill, the full basic educational benefit will allow GIs who have honorably served to have the full cost of tuition covered at any public college or university in their home state of residence. The cost of tuition would be capped at the most expensive in-state public school, with a monthly stipend tied to the Department of Defense’s geographic rate for housing, plus a small stipend for books. S. 22 would also allow additional payments for tutorial assistance, as well as licensure and certification tests. For veterans who choose to attend a private college or university - or an out-of-state public college or university - this basic benefit might not cover the full costs of tuition. • S. 22 will provide an educational enhancement for veterans who complete at least 36 months of active duty service. Under this concept, the federal government will match - dollar for dollar - any additional financial contributions private and public colleges and universities voluntarily contribute. This new program will be titled “The Yellow Ribbon GI Educational Enhancement Program.” This program would vastly increase the educational choices for veterans, commensurate with the choices that World War II veterans received. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS • S. 22 would be available to members of the military who have served on active duty since September 11, 2001, including activated reservists and National Guard. To be eligible, veterans must have served at least three to thirty-six months of qualified active duty, beginning on or after September 11, 2001. Educational benefits would be paid in amounts linked to the amount of active duty served in the military. THE NEED FOR S. 22 • S. 22 provides a GI Bill that reflects the rising costs of college education. The cost of college education has increased by 278 percent over the past 20 years, but the benefits provided under the current Montgomery GI Bill have not kept pace. S. 22 corrects this deficiency. ~~~~~ The bill may or may not withstand a Presidential Veto. If you want it stand a veto, you need to get on the phone or the internet and call on your Senators and Congrsssmen to support. Links can be found in my Sidebar: Senators, than click Senators, you will get their website. I am not having a lot of luck here so you can find the co-sponsors of Senator Webb's bill S.22, here Senatorial Roll Call Vote - this is the 100th Senate, 2nd Session, 2008, the link to one of the votes on May 22 is here. The point of my exercise is to give you quick access to the names of Senators and Congressmen who voted for S. 22, the GI Bill of 2007. And those of your Senators and Representatives who did not vote to support these measures. To me, if we can spend billions bringing democracy to Iraq, we can "invest" in our Veterans and provide them the best education they can earn on their own hard work with a little help from us. Same for House of Representives in my sidebar. The companion bill is H.R. 2700. There may be enough votes to override a Presidential Veto but take no chances. Contact your Representatives and Senators if you want access to this GI Bill. Your fathers and brothers earned it, I know you have. Ooh! Rah! Thank you...Now here would be some tax dollars WELL- spent in contrast to Al Gore's midnight basketball... Because we have an all volunteer military today, many young men and women you - by stepping up to the plate of manhood - would have met, you will not meet and let them learn how "all together" your service career has made you... Let's get that GI Bill, S. 22, under you belt...
GOP 2.0 - Not Microsoft's Tiger or Leopard
A new program has been written for the GOP: GOP 2.0. It is not Microsoft's Tiger or Leopard operating system but it does have some punch. Check it out at Doug Ross @ Journal, GOP 2.0 - resuscitating the brand. The icon list can also be found at House of Eratosthenes in the sidebar, GOP 2.0, Not a Platform, A Promise. You can click on any state and go to links. The thing is the GOP leadership and the presumptive standard-bearer for the Republican Party simply don't like or want conservatives so we need to consider returning the favor. We have two choices - either taking the party back and returning it to its principles of the free enterprise system, limited government and limited intrusion into our lives, etc OR take a long, hard look at joining the Libertarian Party OR forming a new political party. You never hear anything out of the Whigs or Tories in the US anymore, do you? They were once political parties. Right now, it is clear - we are jilted "lovers" - our money is great but if they could only get us to keep our mouths shut... Check out Leave Us Alone: Getting the Government's Hands Off Our Money, Our Guns, Our Lives by Grover Norquist and the Leave Us Alone Coalition. Just search "leave us alone" for more references.
Bob Barr - Libertarian Presidential Candidate for 2008
I was doing a bit of channel surfing this afternoon and came upon the Libertarian 2008 Convention. Pretty neat! Six ballots to get their presidential candidates. And all states that had delegates at the convention were counted - only North Dakota, as I recall, did not have delegates. The Libertarians did know that the Union has 50 states which is a vast improvement over the Dhimmicats. Bob Barr is the presidential candidate and Wayne Allyn Root is the vice presidential candidate. A few minutes ago, I was checking through the referrals in my Sitemeter account and came upon a good site, Whitehouse2008 where you will find the Bob Barr Nomination Speech. Sure they are for or seem to be for open borders, against any laws that make some drugs illegal (I think that was William F. Buckley's position too), for gay/lesbian marriages, against the patriot act, against the Read ID Act (no argument there), and for/against assorted other positions. What is curious about this election year is that nobody in any political party seems overly happy with their nominees in any significant numbers. Very interesting... The bottom line is this: Americans, by and large, are fed up with our politicians. The likes of Nancy Pelosi slam the approval rating of President Bush which is around 25% to 35% - something like that - and are very hush-hush on the approval rating of the Democrat-controlled Congress which is 11%. Heck, we're apt to write in Ron Paul or someone else who cannot be bought. We really need to take our nation back... We are Americans. We aren't afraid of hardwork and acountability. Are we?
S. 22, Post 9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2007
Dear Veterans - I hope this is news you can use. The GI Bill, S. 22, Post 9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2007, has passed the Senate - just this past week to extend benefits for college to our returning veterans who have served since 9/11. Check the link for the specifics. Of course, it must be signed by the President so it is not passed into law yet but you need to be aware of it if you are not. From Senator Jim Webb's Senatorial website:
Webb's Landmark Post-9/11 GI Bill Wins Bipartisan Victories in House and Senate Veterans of the Wars in Iraq & Afghanistan Closer to Realizing Comprehensive Educational Benefits for their Service On Thursday, May 22, the Senate overwhelmingly passed landmark legislation to provide post-9/11 veterans with comprehensive educational benefits, introduced by Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) seventeen months ago on his first day in office. The measure--cosponsored by Sens. Chuck Hagel (R-NE), Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), John Warner (R-VA) and a strong bipartisan majority of their colleagues--was passed in the House the preceding week. Identical measures were included in the Iraq War emergency supplemental spending bills. "Today, the Senate took a historic step toward a modern and fair educational benefit for the men and women who have served honorably since 9/11," said Webb. "This bill properly responds to the needs of those who answered the call of duty to our country--those who moved toward the sound of the guns--often at great sacrifice....
The opportunity is good on many levels. The opportunities to our veterans are obvious. On one very important level, our veterans have much to bring to our college campuses in the way of experience and maturity that many of our inexperienced college students just don't have. So once more our veterans will be able to serve our nation right here at home through their dedication and discipline - role models. I had the opportunity to work with Navy Nukes and there was no room for whining among their ranks. No room at all. Maybe our returning veterans will bring a bit of "adult" perspective and a serious approach to attaining clear and measurable goals to the current students thereby putting pressure on professors to rise to the higher levels of their own academic capabilities. I must caution the veterans to be patient with some technical classes you may take. In many cases, you may well know more than your professors for one simple reason - you have been working with the most advanced, the most sophisticated computer programs and equipment in the world. Colleges and universities simply cannot keep up with what the military has but you can still learn some of the basics or fundamentals behind the development of these programs and this equipment. And then apply what you know to the furtherance of future development. You are in a unique position: you know what exists today; you know what soldiers need to enhance their capabilities; and you will be in a position to combine your knowledge with your new found fundamentals that you can apply to innovations. Taking theory, balancing that with your advanced practical knowledge and experience "in the field", and applying it to new situations is creative genius and that is America's strength. If anyone can add that powerful and needed dimension of creativity and breath of fresh air to our colleges, YOU can do it. You have what it takes. Some of you may want to go into robotics or developmental work with prosthetic advancement. Thousands of our military men and women have experienced the loss of limbs to IEDs and, once they have recuperated, they have much to contribute to further advancement in this field including the aspects of physical therapy - itself always having to change and adapt to new challenges. On VA benefits, there may be other benefits that warrant your research: Now to the returning veterans, there is something else you may need to look into and that is your benefits as they pertain to the VA hospitals and your eligibility for treatment in these facilities. Some are very good and some departments even in the very best VA hospitals are better than other departments. Outreach programs exist that try to reach Iraq War Veterans (Desert Storm veterans may be included in this too, I'm not sure) - so please look into these. I am not intimately qualified on the particulars but it is my understanding - I could be wrong - that the number of years you have to enroll for VA benefits may have been extended. PLEASE check and, if I am correct, do not let the time slip by. Like anything else, when we leave a "job" or a "career", often we are in a rush to "get out" and we don't look at the fine print; we don't think we'll ever need the services. But we have an example of long-term effects that, in the case of Vietnam Vets, did not show up for some years after the war was over - the effects of Agent Orange. It is my understanding - again, I could be misinformed - that even if you don't think you have a "service connected" condition, you may want to look into signing up for benefits to get your name on the list. Please look into the benefits that are available to you and, for goodness sake, DO NOT sign away your benefits in the heat of the moment or without fully understanding what you are giving up. What harm does it do to sign-up? There is no cost to sign-up and you may never need the services but what if you don't sign-up, the time slips by, and then you develop a need for services? I don't know what happens, do you? From personal experience, I know that symptoms of conditions can present themselves years after a trauma or occurrence has been experienced, so please, if you have served as a veteran, check you benefits, sign-up to keep yourself eligible if you can. Use the opportunity of the veterans eligible for S. 22, GI Bill for college and transition into a civilian career using your military training coupled with a degree and explore the VA benefits you are eligible for - don't let them slip away. And on this Memorial Day - be safe, be dry, and be confident in a people who honor you...a people - the very young and the elderly who have fought in days gone by - who can no longer fight for themselves. A people who thank you!
Hillary - The Independent Candidate?
Musings from the beach. Hey, if Bill Clinton can "muse" about the best way for Hillary to get a shot at the Presidency, er, I mean, the White House, so can I... We've all heard the adage - Never say never! Well, I find myself in that peculiar position as I -gasp - contemplate "Hillary Clinton for President" as an Independent Candidate. Why? Arguably, Hillary is the most conservative Liberal of the three. Yes, we know Hillary is a Marxist but she is the Marxist we know. Better the Marxist we know than Barry, the Marxist, radical Islamist sympathizer, we don't know. My, how far we have fallen...but... Hillary has a lot to prove, manly courage being one of the things so I don't think she'd hesitate to bomb any nation that attacked us directly or through surrogates as a means of testing her. She has been rumored to throw things at the President of the United States so fighting terrorists should be no problem. She wouldn't have to worry about the Secret Service protecting the terrorists but then again, her husband did pardon a few terrorists, as I recall. All three "candidates" are for citizenship for illegals so we've lost on that one unless we are ready to make a human fence along our border and face the snipers of the drug cartels or perhaps "friendly" fire from our backs. Hillary can be a bit shrill but I think she'd beat Michelle Obama hands down in a fight and Hillary doesn't need Barack Hussein Obama as a running mate. He doesn't need her either, by the way. With Hillary, we wouldn't have to see the Nation of Islam bodyguards protecting the President. Anyone recall whatever happened to Malcolm X when he converted to less radicalism? Now that's a powerful incentive to support the Arab terrorist nations against Israel. I know we'd crawl to the polls to defeat her head-on against a conservative Republican BUT what would we do if given the choice of Clinton, McCain, or Obama? Don't know... Both Barry and John are trolling for the "independent" voters. Barry won't have enough "Democrats" to win; McCain may not be able to get enough Republicans to believe him (we did believe before - right? No more koolaid for me.) And since the Dems are getting ready to "kick Hillary to the curb", popular vote not withstanding - this is not the Electoral College afterall - she has plenty of support and she would take Independents away from Barry and John. Sweet!!! Lieberman knows the way it works. She can take a few pages out of his playbook and run as an Independent. Rather like poker - I'll see that 'candidacy' and raise you one! So, Ron Paul is still picking up delegates, good for him; Bob Barr looked around and the Republican Party was no where to be found so he went Libertarian. Maybe our choices are looking better: Ron Paul, Bob Barr, and Hillary Clinton. And if we want to be particularly adventuresome, let's write-in Glenn Beck and leave all the "political" party leaders scratching their whatever and saying, "What the f**k happened?" We are told that Islam has been hijacked by the radical Islamists - not true. But the Republican Party has either been hijacked by the liberal elite of the party or everyone in leadership has had an old-fashioned labotomy en masse. McCain is like John Kerry in one respect; you've heard of Heintz. Ever heard of Anheuser-Busch? Maybe the Keating Five? We've had Operation Chaos. Let's keep this party going with "Operation - Hillary, the Independent Candidate." Of course, the worst nightmare is the extreme liberals who'll be put on the Supreme Court, the highest legislative branch in the land. We - the American people - are going to get screwed, blued, dyed, tattooed, mutilated, and spindled with a Democrat Congress anyway. Why not have some fun as we circle the drain for the next two years or so? Catch our breath and beat the heck out of 'em in 2010? We'll be too poor to do anything else...
2008 Tribute to Veterans
Everyone is traveling today or this weekend, so first and foremost - be safe on those highways! Sunday is Rolling Thunder day in our nation's capitol. Veterans and/or their children will be riding their Harleys through the streets of Washington, D.C. The air will be filled with the sound of "rolling thunder" like the sound of cannons firing non-stop in years gone by. Vets, family, friends, patriots all - will crowd the Mall, visit the monuments for the Korean War, WWII, WWI, the Nurses who served in Vietnam. And people will stand and look through the pages of the names listed in the books protected under glass to find the placement of the name of a fallen comrade, a brother-at-arms, before turning to walk to The Wall - that black granite memorial where over 54,000 names are engraved in columns; names of the men who fought and died in Vietnam. Thousands of motorcycles will be parked at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial - only 20,000 or so are allowed to ride in Rolling Thunder - and veterans will mill about buying mementos recalling the past and bringing those memories into the present to be honored today and in the future. Honor our military in your own humble way - and even if you are so misguided as to despise them - give a moment of thanks that they don't despise you, give a moment of thanks that they stand on that wall, that they fight and die for your right to the very freedoms that allow you to demonstrate against them, to destroy their recruitment centers, and to desecrate their funerals. They - our military - are the men and women who stand the posts and say, "You are safe. Nobody's gonna hurt you tonight, not on my watch." (A Few Good Men) Members of my family have served in every war our nation has fought on this continent, even before we became a nation - the honor and respect for military men and women and their sacrifice runs deep in my veins. To our military and their families: Ooh-rah! and Semper Fi! Thank you and God Bless you...
John Boehner: Open Letter from a Conservative
Dear Congressman John Boehner: I have been a strong Conservative all of my life. I have supported and do support our U.S. Constitution, the Rule of Law, small federal government, fiscally responsible government that would use my tax dollars prudently and responsibly - not to buy votes, a strong military to defend our nation against invasion and to defend OUR freedoms - not to spread democracy across a region of the globe that thrives on barbaric behavior like mutilating women and still lives in mud huts and, wisely, does not use cars for transportation, the right to LIFE, LIBERTY, and the PURSUIT - not guaranteed mediocrity - of happiness which means personal responsibility for one's choices... To this end, I have tossed my political energies into the Republican Party and have worked on the local level to support Republican candidates for local, state, and federal office all of my political life. The Republican Party has left me - kicked me to the curb - and, due to the irresponsible behavior of House and some Senate members since 2000, has worked mightily to destroy this nation through open borders, amnesty to illegals who have broken our laws and continure to do so, ear marks, and God knows what all money-moving schemes. You can't say "the Democrats made us do it" because that just ain't so. They are doing it now but you gave them a running start. I have supported President Bush on many issues but not No Child Left Behind, the Prescription Drug give-away, and Amnesty. I do not support the intrusion of government into churches as his administration has supported with nice sounding programs. I believe he should have vetoed McCain's Legacy of "Campaign Finance Reform." Dear Mr. McCain has worn out the carpet walking on his knees to work with the likes of Durbin and others. And now we have three Liberals running for president. Like it or not, the Republican Party has left me. That's fine; your choice. How do you get me back? You don't want me back so don't worry about it. No more "Contracts with America." We don't need weak, simpy-voiced men running the Republican Party. President Bush, to his credit, did the right things regarding Afghanistan. Can you name one Republican in office today who would have defended us after the 9/11 attacks? Name one... The NEA, the Department of Education (which Republicans have promised to shut down), and the government education system have done their job - dumbed down America's youth - you can see it in the creeping Socialism/Marxism - "The government OWES me." And the idea of "letting other peoples' money support me" has really taken off. There is more I could say but there is hardly any point. Trent Lott once said something to the effect - when Jumping Jim Jeffords bailed and gave the control of the Senate to Puff Daschle - that Republicans do better as the minority party. Could be. The Republican Party certainly does not seem to want or need its base and certainly is not ruthless enough to be in power - yep, the President sure set a "new" tone in Washington and it has ground you into chopped liver. But civilizations come and go; nations rise and fall; and political parties rise, fall, or shoot themselves in the foot and commit political suicide. Believe me, nothing could have done the Republican Party more harm than it has done itself. I admit that I'm out of step with many of my fellow Americans and the illegal aliens: I believe in our nation and in personal responsibility; I believe in our military; I believe in equality before the law; I do not believe in Socialist Marxism; I do not believe in Group Rights; I do not believe in killing our young or our elderly just because it is someone's "right to choose." We are becoming a fractured nation and our government is importing crime and criminal elements who live by different "codes of conduct" such as beheadings in Mexico. Our Border Patrol agents and the Minutemen who do help them are actually in a war along our southern border and who in cozy Washington cares? No one... McCain's answer - make 'em citizens! Yes, sir - make 'em citizens. We can have trade but no one said we had to commit national suicide in the process. No, the Republican Party has not left me, Congressman Boehner; the Republican Party has abandoned me and our nation, our founding principles. Unless something turns around fast, the Democrats will win by default - game called 'cause the other team's players didn't show up. You don't know how painful it is to be jilted by a fickled, unfaithful party. Nor do you comprehend how painful it is to see no reason to vote. None at all - what difference will it make? Either way, the American people get screwed, our children come under crushing taxes, and what I foretold years ago will come to pass. What was that? ...When my grandchildren work, their entire paychecks will go to Washington and so will their bills. Everything will be rationed. The government will tell them what they can and cannot do, where they will live, where they will work, and whether they will be allowed to live or die depending on their relative significance to the society... (China come to mind?) My God, how can you people stand yourselves? Maybe I can just write this ranting off to a sinus infection and a dreary weekend. Maybe...
Pres. Bush: Pardon Ramos and Compean
Dear President Bush: Please pardon Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean. See Pardon Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean. Although your administration, with the State Department even warning that Americans are not safe along our southern border, has maintained an "open border" policy for whatever reason, please pardon these men and return them to their families. All they are guilty of is believing in their country and trying to defend her people, including me and my family. You will soon be leaving office. If President Clinton can and did pardon terrorists, you - as a Christian - should be able to see your way clear to pardon two men who took an oath to defend and protect our nation and to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America. Please return these two men to their families and loved ones. ~~~~~ Related post: here in honor of a fallen hero, Agent Luis Aguilar, Jr.
Congress overrides vetoed farm bill?
In a never-ending display of incompetence, the Democrat-led Congress voted yesterday to override a presidential veto of the latest farm bill. But which veto did the astute Congressmen vote to override? House forced to revote farm bill. The correct bill reference is HR 2419, Farm, Nutrition, and Bioenergy Act before the 110th Congress, 2nd Session (2008). We are in for interesting times, ladies and gentlemen. Hold on to your checkbooks and your money as you vote to put overwhelming numbers of tax-and-spend Democrats into the House and Senate this November. Democrats do not understand economics, period. But to be fair... Republicans understand the theory of lower taxes helping the economy but choose to ignore economic truths in their rush to out-spend Democrats, hence the Republican losses in 2006. We're heading for a Recession and maybe worse as fast as you can say Dhimmini Carter... Hang on to what little money the government allows you to keep because with the Democrats in office and willing members of the "opposition", the hammer and sickle are going to fall upon us heavy and hard...heavy and hard starting on the increase of taxes on all you "rich" folks earning $32,000.00 a year and up. And with Republicans trying to out liberal Liberals, there doesn't seem to be much we Americans can do about it but hold our ankles and take that needle in the behind. Or perhaps vote out incumbents who repeatedly vote against conservative interests. From the article, just a tiny understatement by Dick Armey:
The vote was 316-108, with 100 Republicans joining 216 Democrats to override the presidential veto, while 14 Democrats and 94 Republicans voted to uphold it. The Senate had passed the original bill by a veto-proof 81-15 margin. Those margins left conservative leaders to ponder what happened to the fiscal conservative message that used to be the backbone of Republican election victories. "The fact that the numbers are that bad demonstrates to me how seriously the Republican Party is lacking vision in the House," said former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, an architect of the 1994 Republican revolution who accused his party of buying into pork-barrel parochial politics. "It's probably a microscopic picture of how badly Republicans have lost their way."
Check the vote and see how your Congressman voted - to uphold the veto or to spend, spend, spend! Then make your choice in November. My Congressman voted to spend, spend, spend...my Republican Congressman voted to override the President's veto. Guess my campaign contributions will have to stop post-haste. Funny how they've all gotten it backwards. President Bush should have been vetoing budgets sent to him by the Republican Congress with a kazillion earmarks and he didn't. Now, when Republicans should be curtailing spending, they are joining Democrats.
Ted Kennedy: Liberal Icon of New England
Senator Ted Kennedy has developed quite a voting record since he became a Senator at the age of 30 beginning with the liberalized Immigration Act of 1965 which undermined the advances/opportunities inherent for black Americans in the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The 1965 Act rolled everyone - non-white - into the unbrella that opened the Civil Rights Act of 1964 open for all people, non-white, thus watering down the opportunities for black Americans and allowing employers to "count" all non-white folks a meeting the quotas that eventually grew out of the Civil Rights Act. [The government cannot evaluate the success of any program unless they can quantify it; thus, affirmative action quotas.] Ted Kennedy on the issues Edward (Ted) Kennedy The Real Ted Kennedy Record The Read Ted Kennedy How Fatboy Voted (I didn't make that up.) Mary Jo Kopechne was unavailable for comment Mary Jo Kopechne is still dead Along with Flopping Aces in Senator Ted Kennedy has malignant brain tumor, our prayers are with the family of Senator Kennedy and with the Senator himself as he moves on to treatment for his current malady. We must also give him credit for the legislation he has supported over the years. It is a legacy built over 45 years; it is one I would not want and for which I would not want to answer but it is his. While no one wishes the Senator harm, or pain and suffering, I would hope that he might have a change of heart and work to end the pain and suffering he has endorsed through his support of Partial-Birth Abortion.
Does Republican Party deserve its Conservative voters?
The 2008 Election Year is interesting and confusing. We have three Democrats running for President - we just don't know which one Mr. McCain will be running against. For years, we Conservatives have watched the black vote go 95 to 97% to the Democrat Party. Arguably, the Democrat Party has taken the "black" vote for granted. No matter how much misery "socialist" government has brought upon our poor of all ethnic groups, the poor still vote for the hand that feeds and whips them simultaneously. By the same token, arguably, the party elite of the Republican Party has taken the Conservative vote for granted. Here are several outstanding posts from Eternity Road that point out the frustrations and options Republican Conservatives face this election year. Mandatory Rebellion Mandatory Rebellion: Motivators and Inhibitors I could be wrong but I don't see or hear anything in Mr. McCain's message that invites Conservatives or Constitutionalists to the table of that large tent open to Independents and illegals alike but not Conservatives, the long-time base of the Republican Party. I have not left the Republican Party but the party leadership seems to have kicked me and my fellow Conservatives and our values to the curb as they embrace Liberalism/Socialism Lite. We have been holding our noses and voting for the lesser of two evils for a very long time now, since after our last vote for Ronald Reagan. Memo to the Republican Party elite: "We're getting your message! You don't need us or want us! No problem... We'll vote but as for myself, I'm keeping my money in my own pocket - gotta pay for that gas since you have refused to drill in ANWR or off shore."
Obama's Foreign Policy; Conservatism; Appeasement
Liberally Conservative weighs in... If you haven't dropped over to the Liberally Conservative blog lately, here are a few recommendations. These are good posts; the facts upon which they are based speak from themselves. Obama's Tempest in a Teapot Obama - two candidates in one Obama's Foreign Policy - Time for Terrorists With all due respect to Fred Thompson - good perspective on Conservatism and how the Neo-Cons are Democrats making the Republican Party over into their own image. Not exactly Liberally Conservative's words; my observation.
Ted Kennedy; moderate Muslims; and the return to values
No one wishes ill-will or painful sorrow for the Kennedy family members who love and honor their Uncle Teddy. Horrible and cruel things were directed from the far-left at President Ronald Reagan and Charlton Heston both when they were diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease - as President Reagan said when he told us that he was entering that long journey into the dark night of soul. How many belittled Nancy Reagan and seemed to be gleeful at the tragedy she would face alone? Americans don't have to like each others politics but we can agree that when tragedy strikes a family, we can feel compassion for the family. For me, it is difficult to have much compassion for the extreme far-left, the ones who seem to blame America, and, by extension me and you, for the problems of the entire world when we are the most generous people on earth. What intellectual giants! How do we take responsibility for the coal plants in China belching out black soot into the air 24/7? Back to... Having said that, I heard two interesting comments on the Michael Savage show last night sort by accident. Health care in America: It was mentioned that Teddy Kennedy will not have to wait for health care as will be the case when we ordinary people are forced into universal health care. I would suggest that if you are a 75 year old man who has paid into the health care system all of your life and are now on Medicare, your treatment options would be slim and slimmer all the way to none. Why? You aren't important or viewed as productive. Weep not for Senator Ted Kennedy - 45 years so far - in the United States Senate, itself the epitome of the "welfare state on steroids." For 45 years, we have paid taxes and have provided Senator Kennedy with the best health care available in the world. No waiting, no limited choice in doctors, no limits on the treatment he will get - paid for by us, keeping in mind that he has no need of our tax dollars to pay for his medical treatment - treatment to which you will never have access. The Senate and the House - designed by our Founding Fathers - to be groups of elected representatives for the House and state legislature appointed Senators - have gone from being Senate/House citizen statesmen with jobs in the communities of those they represent to being the "poster systems" at its greatest for welfare jobs. These statesmen have gone so far as to penalize their fellow elected leaders if they work in their local communities and thereby, stay in touch with their constituents. While our prayers go out to the family, rest easy; your tax dollars will keep the Senator as safe as possible and, due to your dedicated and hard work, the Senator will have no medical bills. Not one... The families who have been torn apart due to policies supported by Senator Kennedy and the "welfare dependency" state he helped create for them can be at peace knowing that no one in the Senate or House has to deal with getting insurance. They only have to get elected... Those families who cannot access vouchers to move their children from failing and dangerous schools can take heart that the Senator has opposed school vouchers for poor children (any skin color) in failing schools? Why? Would it be that a good education would allow these children upward mobility? Senator Kennedy may well have some good years left to "represent" various interest groups in the Senate. He will receive prayers from many across the nation and especially from the very people he has "kept down." Non-radical Muslims to bring religious values to the United States?: I could not believe this one but I heard this on the Michael Savage show, last night. I'll have to paraphrase because I was not able to write down the comment. Essentially, Michael was speaking about the seeming dwindling of Christian values in America, our turning away from the strong bonds to God that we had and maintained from our founding until the latter part of the 1900s. The point was that the non-fundamentalist/non-radical Islamists Muslims in the United States have a chance to re-introduce spiritual values into our nation which seems rudderless and generally spiritually void. A few comments were made regarding the Jewish Reform movement and the dwindling numbers of people attending Christian churches today. I can see this in the large, urban cities such as San Francisco, New York, and others; however, middle America's Christian churches are filling with continual and renewing growth. My small church has been experiencing the same ebb and flow - the reduction and and new growth. The ebb and flow of times and the tide. People come and go; life is not guaranteed to any of us. Civilizations rise and fall. The point is that we have a choice in some of these matters - the latter. Martin Luther changed the world when he nailed his 99 items to the door of the church. He changed the world... We can either engage in life or we can let it pass us by. Either way, life goes on - with or without us... Let's be a part of it. And although Mary Jo Kopechne is no longer with us; her life ended at the age of 29 - no husband, no children, no grandchildren; Senator Kennedy still has life to live, decisions to make, grandchildren to hold and love. He is human as are we; my prayers are with the family of Mary Jo Kopechne. I do not wish Senator Kennedy ill-will but I cannot gush about things that I do not feel. I cannot spout off a litany of the good he had done for 45 years in the Senate - I cringe at his handiwork in support of abortions-on-demand, the killing of our unborn. But I cannot judge him nor can I tout the "good" he has done. As Doc Holliday said in "Tombstone," 'my hypocrisy can only go so far.' I have to step away... Compassion can come from us; Forgiveness comes from God.
Lisbon Treaty: Insult and kick in the gut
The heat is on for votes in Ireland both for and against the Treaty of Lisbon: Lisbon logjam exposes hallowness of democracy *** give this one a look Europe deserves much better than the Lisbon Treaty EC faces legal challenge from anti-Lisbon campaigner European Commission facing legal challenge from Green MEP The vote is June 12th. The issues are complex but the Treaty of Lisbon is no readable document at all. One must cut/paste/and collate all by yourself to try to make heads or tails of the document. Reviewing it is like reviewing a document, 85% of which has been redacted only this time the words just aren't there so you can't even tell when sentences would have started or ended, much less identify what was in the middle. The Treaty of Lisbon is the EU Constitution in disquise; it is unreadable; and frankly, asking any citizenry to vote on such horse-twaddle is insulting. Ah, but then the leaders really don't think very highly of the peasants, now do they?
Trolling for independent voters: Barry, Hillary, and John
To me, this is a strange election year. The independents and democrats "picked" the republican candidate: john mccain. The independents and the republicans with some help from democrats are helping the democrat primary move along a bit. Arguably, the democrats are having "buyer's" remorse on their early annointing of the so-called messianic barry O. barry O, all by himself, sure put the guns and God issue on the table. Hardly a very kind jab at the non-Muslims in America. And now, john is embarrassed by the republican conservative base and is working hard to kick them to the curb - only thing he has left to do is figuratively spit on them. He sure doesn't want their votes. barry O. and really Hillary too are not far-left enough for the far-left "we're falling off the planet" activitists in the democrat party. so - what does that leave us? Both presidential candidates will be fighting for the same folks - the independents. We know barry O will get all the votes the black Americans can scrape together - we are told that every time he has run in a state with a heavy black population. Like they don't have the ability to decide for themselves for whom they'll vote. The media is so insulting. We know john mccain likes to "work with folks across the aisle" - glad he's taking lindsey with him - and really doesn't want to be bothered with those conservatives. But folks, there are not enough independents in the country for either candidate to "win." Hillary (my goodness this is painful) is the least liberal of the bunch and that is saying a lot coming from me, and we know she's "cut-throat" so to speak. Plus she has to prove she has the anatomy to go up against the "enemy" if she'll be brave enough to name it. Really, now, aren't there times when Hill looks and sounds like she has the anatomy to drop the big one? She certainly would throw sand in the boys eyes in the playground and make 'em cry. Right? This is a heck of a mess we are in. But it will pass one way or the other. I'm reading Terry Reid's book Compromise and I have to tell ya, well, I won't speculate - there's enough rumor going around. Guess I'll just have to wait and see. Hummm... Let's see: martial law, rationed gas, confiscated cars, food rationing, higher taxes, biometric chips implanted in our foreheads (they could scan them with the cameras at the stop lights), GPS tracking devices on legal citizens so that illegals won't be arrested by mistake, even more dollars printed to flood the market and devalue your property (whoops, the property you get to pay taxes on, sorry, forgot that pesky Kelo vs New London, Ct ruling for a minute), so many choices - all in the name of national security. What a catch-all excuse for invasion of privacy that one is: National Security where no one is secure except the illegals, they are the ones with the lawyers. You know the litany better than I do. But this is a strange election year, don't you think? Really? Rush has a point: give it to the dhimmicats so they can take the hit like they did with dhimmi, dizzy, jimmy carter... Save mccain from himself? Or maybe not...
Islamic Jihad fought through the womb
Yassar Arafat once said something to the effect that the womb of the Muslim woman was the greatest weapon Islam had in its war to overthrow "Western Civilization." I am paraphrasing but that is essentially what he said. He, for once, spoke the truth. The Opinionator has a great post that makes the threat we face clear, present, and permanent: The Population Jihad. The goal is for each Muslim woman to have as many children as possible, producing not just children but Muslims born to and chained to Islam - No Way Out. Then throw in a few laws about what happens when different cultures are competing for the same resources: food, shelter, etc. The numerically weaker side - although superior in technology - stands the risk of being over-run; it is a certainty if they will not do what is necessary to defend their culture, their mores, and their lives. In Western societies, England comes to mind, the growing Muslim population - as I understand it - invades and takes over towns and then hops on the British welfare train so that the Brits not only get their towns closed off to them, they get to pay for the food, shelter, medical care, and education of the interlopers. I'm sure the bitter irony is not lost on the average British working man and woman.
Ted Kennedy rests peacefully - ah, how nice!
When you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all, right? I have to think a priest is praying for Teddy and making sure his immortal soul is safe and sound with Heaven assured as it is to all who believe... Having said that, let me direct you to an excellent post to remind you of the handiwork of the distinguished Senator from Mass. Mary Jo Kopechne is still dead and Ted Kennedy is feeling better My apologies to the family of Mary Jo Kopechne that this tragedy must once again make its way to the forefront of our thoughts but your daughter lost her life needlessly at the hands of a man - through cowardice or drunkenness - who has worked to undermine our nation for 45 years. For some of us, we are sickened that he has been in the Senate since the age of 30 and has done so much harm from that seat of power. We remain saddened by your loss. For some of us, the abuse of your daughter, Mary Jo, represented the debauchery and decadence of the rich and powerful in our nation and our government who are never called to task for their misdeeds while the rest of us pay over and over and over again in more ways than we can even know... God bless you, Mary Jo...
Paul Singer: Killing newborn babies, A-Okay?
Zen Tiger left a response to a post, linked here, that I didn't want to get lost. Here it is for you to consider and to consider how far we have de-volved, as Americans with our once honored view of the sanctity of life - all human life - that we would now have a professor teaching of a mother's right to kill her newborn baby (the one she missed out on aborting by having its brains sucked out of its tiny skull with its tiny heart still beating) in what some would have in yester-year considered a prestigious university, Princeton, if I am not mistaken. The same Princeton that gives us the angry Mrs. "First Lady In Waiting" Obama. God help us, that is if He still looks our way... You can look up the book for yourself, read and enjoy. In the one review I read, Mr. Singer is tauted as a forward-thinking philosopher. I wonder if he would have seen the humanity in the injecting of Terri Shiavo with a lethal drug instead of the state-sanctioned brutal murder that was carried out with not a drop of water being allowed to touch her lips as she was starved and dehydrated unto death. My God, the shame we have upon us... From Zen Tiger at New Zealand Conservative: ~~~~~ Peter Singer writes in Rethinking Life and Death: "Human babies are not born self-aware or grasping their lives over time. They are not persons. Hence their lives would seem to be no more worthy of protection than the life of a fetus." This is the basis for his argument it is alright to kill newborn babies. I think his defenders say his argument is much more nuanced than that. Whatever. His argument is that he draws a line, and the line is on self-awareness and an understanding of time. On that basis, you can murder many people, and certainly premature babies. It's only one way of drawing a line, and when lines are drawn, the reasons and excuses come thick and fast. It's been relabeled as "new morality". Where's the morality in avoiding the word "murder"? ~~~~~
Robert Spencer - Banned in Pakistan!
For a look at Robert Spencer's office, see Robert's Office and see also the following link, CAIR rep Omer Subhani exposes Robert Spencer, Part III. Well, it seems Mr. Spencer is in trouble AGAIN with his most recent book, The Truth about Muhammad: Founder of the World's Most Intolerant Religion. Banned in Pakistan. Why? Like the thorough researcher that he is, Mr. Spencer goes to original sources and uses Muslim/Islamic approved and accepted texts as his sources for the "truth" about Muhammad. The "truth" hurts when it comes from the mouth of a Westerner. Eh? In the synopsis here, we find:
In this startling new book, New York Times bestselling author Robert Spencer, provides a warts-and-all portrait of the Prophet of Islam and draws out what his life implies for reforming Islam and repulsing Islamic terrorists. Spencer relies solely on primary sources considered reliable by Muslims and evaluates modern biographies to show how Muhammad has been changed for Western audiences, lulling them into consoling but false conclusions.
It is true. Muhammad and Islam, for that matter, are brought to us from behind the mysterious "Dance of the Seven Veils", "Arabian Nights", and the mysteries of the middle east set to seduce us with allure and hidden fruit, secrets hidden behind carved lattice-work, scented oils, and perfumed air. But into that seduction, the Islamic terrorist, using stealth or whatever means possible. brings hatred and murder of innocents through cowardly acts of violence, his leaders too effeminate to wield the sword themselves as they hide behind their tea for visitors and lead lives of debauchery far from the wide, doe-like eyes of the naive Nancy Pelosi or the supporter Obama who, lucky for us based on his acknowledged years as a practicing Muslim from ages 6-10, understands the "legitimate claims" of Hamas, Hezbollah, and terrorist-supporting Iran, here. Behind these lattice walls, how many women hide beaten, battered, and bruised? How many children are taught hatred we cannot even dream of? And if we cannot criticize Islam from our own perspective, is it not a tad cynical that we cannot even use Islam's own books, written by Islam's own revered scholars from which to make our case? ~~~~~ We all know that in the Muslim world - the Middle East, Europe, and generally wherever there is a mosque - it is open season on any and all forms of Christianity to be ridiculed and worse. Some months ago, I put forth a request to my Muslim readers to provide me with a verse from the Qur'an or any other representative Islamic "ideological" text that had a directive similar to our "Golden Rule". They're getting back to me on that one.
Institutionalized Racism in the USA
The following editorial is from John W. Wallace, a candidate for Congress for New York’s 20th Congressional District. Mr. Wallace's website is: http://www.FreedomCandidate.com/ Here are his comments in full: (emphasis added) THE CLASSIFICATION OF AMERICANS BY RACE AND ETHNICITY MUST END The Racial and Ethnic classification of Americans is nothing more than institutionalized racism and must be ended. The United States of America has been known as a country of rugged individualism based on individual freedom and liberty. Why has America become a country obsessed with classifying its citizens into different racial and ethnic sub-groups? The only groups that actively support the continued collection of racial and ethnic data are big government bureaucrats and "racial and ethnic special interest groups” that also happen to receive significant funding from the federal government. These organizations argue that identifying people by race and ethnicity is necessary in order to redress some past injustice and that the federal government must continue to collect and use this information in order to set up special racial and ethnic programs, affirmative action quotas and other set-asides for these groups, some of whom consist of new immigrants, illegal aliens and non-citizens. Nothing can be further from the truth. In a country where we can no longer ask people what religion they are, what their party affiliation is or what their sexual orientation is, why are we still asking them about their racial and ethnic background? Americans are beginning to realize that racial and ethnic identification is more a matter of personal choice than anything else. In the 2000 Census, seven million American citizens refused to place themselves into a single category by refusing to describe themselves as only white, black, Asian, Latino or any one of the other specific categories listed, because they were of mixed race. Attempts by the government to create a “mixed race” box for the 2000 Census was met with resistance by racial and ethnic special interest groups like the NAACP and the National Council of La Raza, because they feared that a mixed-race box could pose a danger to the justification for their existence. The fuzzier such racial and ethnic categories become, the harder it will be for these racial and ethnic special interest groups and the government to traffic in them. If a mixed-race category were to be added, every brown-skinned person of mixed race registered in this category would shrink the government’s official count of Blacks, Latinos, Asians or American Indians, eventually reducing their political influence and ultimately the amount of money these groups receive from the federal government, which amounts to approximately $185 billion a year. Through the mandated collection and use of racial and ethnic specific information, more and more of American taxpayers’ hard earned money is being routinely distributed to these racial and ethnic special interest groups at the expense of all other Americans who may or may not be members of these groups. Through executive orders, congressional legislation, affirmative action programs, racial set-asides, quotas and other programs based solely on race and ethnicity, our federal government is playing the key role that pits one racial and ethnic group against another, which could eventually lead to our destruction as a country.
Rather than helping a diverse population become assimilated and united as one nation, the Federal government is doing what the Nazi government of Germany did in the 1930’s and 40’s; creating government supported institutionalized racism by the intentional classification of it’s citizens by race and ethnicity. With the support of racial and ethnic special interest groups, our federal government seems to view our citizens not just as Americans, but rather as “pawns” in some social science experiment to be classified and separated into different racial or ethnic sub-groups for some unknown purpose. By mandating the classification of Americans into specific racial and ethnic sub-groups, the federal government and the advocates of “diversity” are actually perpetuating institutionalized racism and keeping Americans divided. Maybe the real purpose of collecting this data is to justify the continuing flow of government money to these racial and ethnic special interest groups.
If we want to help poor Americans escape poverty, get better health care, find a job or get a good education, why should it matter what their race or ethnic background is? The answer is: It should not! Americans need to come together as members of one country and remember that we are all individual Americans, regardless of race or ethnic background. Martin Luther King, Jr., inspired a nation when he voiced his dream for a color-blind nation, a nation in which people would be judged by the content of their characters, "not the color of their skin." The answer to this government encouraged racism is the concept of Liberty with a limited, constitutional government that is devoted to the protection of individual rights rather than the claims of different racial and ethnic special interest groups. Where Liberty is present, individual achievement and competence are rewarded, not people’s skin color or ethnicity. I will support legislation barring the federal government from the collection of racial and ethnic information about the American people and/or the classification of American citizens by race and ethnicity, including the collection of census information. Exceptions should be made for law enforcement, hospitals and medical research purposes. I will also support legislation that bans affirmative action programs, racial set-asides, quotas and any other programs that give special preferences based on race and ethnicity. By: JOHN W. WALLACE Candidate for Congress New York’s 20th Congressional District http://www.FreedomCandidate.com/ ~~~~~ I agree. A classic example is B. Hussein Obama. How can he be "black" when he's mother is white and his father is a black man from Africa? Does "black" skin trump "white" skin? Of course, any "color" of skin trumps "white" these days so perhaps "white" folks should get a tax-break 1) for being discriminated against generally and 2) for paying the bulk of the taxes that support the financial dependency of non-white skinned folks. Actually, Thomas Sowell wrote this idea around 16 to 20 years ago but I have held it for at least that long or longer: no one who receives tax-payer funded subsidies: food stamps, food bank, section 8 housing, medicaid, or any of the other "aides" should be allowed to vote. To allow someone to vote to steal hard-earned money from one family to support another non-productive family is "theft" pure and simple. Tax payers can vote to support such aide but the recipients of the tax payer largess should not be able to vote to steal money from the rest of us. Period... That's what Barry, Hillary, and Marxists/Socialists like to do; that is how they "buy" votes and destroy the heart and soul of our nation, drain the life-blood out of the folks their programs force into dependency and call it "I'm government and I'm here to help you." In the United States of America today, does one "select" their racial identity based on expediency, on avarice/financial benefit in the form of tax-dollar handouts (certain to raise any one's self-esteem we hear so much about), on "what's in it for me?" Tiger Woods said it best when he identified himself as uniquely being the direct product of seven or eight different ethnic groups but guess what - like Morgan Freeman - Mr. Woods classified himself as an American. Whoo-hoo! And he is too! As long as the federal, state, and local governments themselves financially benefit from affirmative action quotas, corporations benefit in hiring "atta boys" for affirmative action hiring practices, and individuals benefit above other citizens based solely upon how they classify themselves ethnically, we will remain conscious of "race" - we get paid for it, after all. But the more I'm called a "racist" because I'm getting sick of supporting this corrupt system, the more my disgust and distrust grows. Personally, I pay heavily so that Section 8 housing folks can have new appliances, have their apartments painted every year, and can pay only $168.00 a month rent not to mention enjoy free landscaping services which I pay for as well. At the same time, I cannot afford new appliances, yearly painting of my home, and have no one to bail me out if I get into debt. And I'm not supposed to have a tad of animosity that my generosity in the form of money I earn being confiscated from me to support someone else is thrown back in my face and I'm called a "racist" because I say this is theft? Back to... Guess which nation does not classify its citizens by race? America would do well to rid itself and its people of one source of separation and therefore distrust and that would be to end racial quotas and racial/ethnic identifiers. How soon do you think that will happen? Not as long as politicians appeal to greed and folks think they are getting something for nothing, not realizing or caring that they are, in fact, stealing from their neighbors. How embarrassing! And in the United States there is no classification for "white" or "Caucasian" any longer; nope, those folks are now "non-Hispanic white." Now, that's planning ahead... Remember John F. Kennedy? What was his famous statement: Remember not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country! Shame on our own government and shame on us for letting our government turn us into "money, grubbing second-class citizens with our hands out to government for our daily bread". We are Americans and we're better than that, no matter how much the politicians disdain us and work to buy our votes with other citizens' money. It is only we who can take our nation back by saying, "No, we can stand on our own. We will look to our churches and our communities, not the government." Oh, how the government has roped us in and made us slaves to the crumbs they want to toss us and then laugh as we fight each other for the leavings. We are Americans; we are better than politicians think we are; we must ensure the education of our children; we must ensure vouchers to get them out of failing schools; and we must turn our backs on the government-enforced racism that drives us apart! We must grab our united destiny and claim our freedoms and our heritage! Do you think for one minute that the enemies aligned against us care one wit about our ethnic identities? No, they laugh at the distractions that keep our attention away from them and their grand designs...
The Fulford File: Mikko Ellilä and the Finnish Inquisition
Here is a post you may find overwhelming in its links and documentation and striking in the case against Mikko Ellilä. Please see The Finnquisition And VDARE.COM in The Fulford File by James Fulford. The post was published May 13, 2008 with references to Mark Steyn, Ezra Levant, and others, most notably, Mikko Ellilä, whom I have covered here. Mikko Ellilä has been accused and convicted in Finland of something like enciting racial tensions. What was Mikko Ellilä's "crime"? He spoke the truth about cultural differences but, alas, in a multicultural world where moral equivalency is the "rule" all cultures are equal, right? Take female mutilation, although against the law in Finland, is accepted practice (?) - it's a cultural thing. Then is it a "religious" thing? And, by extension, seems 'honor killings' should just be old hat. Your daughter dates the "wrong" sort of boy, kill your daughter and get a medal. Your wife or daughter is raped; kill your wife or daughter and throw a party for the rapist. It is a "religious"/"cultural" thing so if you subscribe to xyz belief system, you can murder at will. If you don't, well, you have to abide by the law. If your "religion"/"culture" allows and encourages you to lie to infidels, well, hey, get on with it - you can lie to infidel law enforcement with impunity, right? Without condemning the Finns - who are caught in the world of Catch 22 with the rest of us, where legal insanity is the norm and common sense the crime - the article by James Fulford is worth your time. Reading the links is even more astounding. The United States of America is doing essentially the same thing as Finland - importing crime, corruption, murder of its citizens, and disease. We are now having outbreaks of TB and other diseases we had eradicated. We now have over 30,000 estimated members of MS-13 living here, hence our first beheading case in Northern Virginia a few years back when a couple of gang members decided to punish a few relatives by beheading two of the children. Lovely, just lovely. Mikko Ellilä is right - the Finnish government can like it or not. They are importing problems that may seem small now but will grow to become serious and impossible to manage in the near future. Anyone remember pictures of suburbs of Paris burning?
Treaty of Lisbon: Lawyers waging war against the people
Just as an aside, while France and Germany leadership presently seems to be more pro-American than the more recently departed leaders, it seems as though the boys and girls in Brussels - the dictators of the EU - have turned the lawyers loose upon the people - all the people of the world. Michael Savage wrote a book, Liberalism is a Mental Disorder. How true and we see it playing out. Rush Limbaugh joked several years ago that while the far-left elitist liberals (Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et al) are striving to remake our nation into a Marxist tyranny or some delusional RINOs are pushing for Utopia, at least they were spreading Liberalism like a plague to Europe. Well, boy, howdy! Was that right on? So, today, instead of recognizable armies beating up on each other for control, we have lawyers "writing" the un-intelligible Treaty of Lisbon, arguably the rejected EU Constitution in disguise but unreadable in any language AND we have terrorist groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, and others happily blowing us up while they work as proxies for terrorist-funding nations who cannot fight us man-to-man. The lawyers are even more demented, in that, they - reaping their rewards from trials, not military tribunals - work mightily to turn acts of war (terrorism) into crimes. So the only folks who can be charged with war crimes are the folks who put on military uniforms. Hmmm... Funny, that uniform thing didn't stop FDR from trying those German infiltrators, working on US docks in New York, in military tribunals as enemy combatants and executing them very quickly... But that was back in World War II when most sane folks knew who the enemy was (just like we know today) and actual men - honored for common sense and bravery - got the job of protecting us done. Back to... The Treaty of Lisbon is one more step in the emasculating of once fine nations and even worse, the EU and the Treaty of Lisbon - a masterpiece of "in section A.1.b.2.3.5.c. the words 'in the matter of' will be changed to read 'with respect to'." - make the Islamification of Europe a certainty. Way to go! And while you are at it, take a few minutes to look at the Mediterranean Union and the Barcelona Process. The only good thing seems to be that there are so many "laws" and "agreements" that you are bound to be breaking dozens of them each and everyday, making general enforcement perhaps challenging. And then take a look at EU Battle Groups and ask why is the US spending so much money on NATO? And if you still have the stomach for it, hop over to the Human Rights dictates where you will choke on the first paragraph which speaks to "freedom of expression", not allowed in the Muslim world and, according to the UN, not allowed in the known universe should one be so silly as to want to engage in a discussion of the facets of Islam. Let's close down all law schools across the known universe; failing that, how about just those on Planet Earth? Put a moratorium on law degrees with no more being issued for at least 30 years, 60 years if necessary, for degrees pertaining to trial law, international law, and ending general litigation where common sense should prevail. Then, in the United States of America, should she still stand, AND SHE WILL, pass a law banning lawyers from serving in Congress - either house. As Glenn Beck points out, we could use some common sense. Just a tad... All this "new world order" rush and the pressure to forge "unions" seems like national "elected leaders" are playing high-stakes monopoly with not only our money, our futures, but also with our lives and freedoms. Citizens of the United States and of the proud nations of Europe can stop this seemingly psychopathic lemming leaders' rush to drive us over a cliff and to bind us all with the same chains but we have to fight it one nation and one people at a time.
The French and Danes did the best they could. They rejected the EU Constitution when they were allowed to vote. EU officials won't let that happen again. The Swedes are trying. Ireland, your chance is June 12th.
Crusader Rabbit - on-line! Better than ever!
Crusader Rabbit is on-line and doing better than ever. Your comments must have helped because they have had a chance of heart, got the juices pumping, and the keyboard smoking. Yippee!
Israel, DEFEND yourself!
I heard last night of the most recent rocket attacks on Israel. And I was screaming at my TV set: Israeli Defense Forces, defend your people!!! Of course, I know the shallowness of my plea in that it falls on deaf ears when Americans are being killed by drunk Mexican illegals on our highways all the time and our borders are generally overrun even for all the hardwork of our border patrol. Those men and women have learned their lesson: do your job, defend Americans, and go to prison... But to the Israeli people, I say, toss the old men out. Defend yourselves! Give up not one inch of land to the murderers who would and are killing your women and children. No 'peace' can be gained when it is at the expense of land you need from which to defend yourselves. The UN has allowed and I would suggest enabled Hezbollah to re-arm in Lebanon. All Arab states are aligned against you or they seem to be. The American people support you...at least the Christians do. Bring back Netanyahu! We are living in times of "wars and rumors of wars." The entire world is unsettled and the Muslim mind in the Middle East knows and respects only force.
Ireland: Irish to vote on Treaty of Lisbon
Soon the Irish will vote on The Treaty of Lisbon and here. See also The Lisbon Treaty Ratification Tango and for further removal of government from the people see Issue No. 16, February 2008. And then there is Another union says 'No' to Lisbon Treaty. On June 12th, the Irish will vote...to be free or to become vassals of Brussels? I would say vote for the treaty and then immediately remove yourselves from the EU but I'm not in a position to know given that nations who do not belong to the EU must agree to its dictates in order to trade with EU nations. From here, across the pond, the E.U. is like a huge Soviet-style commune - it won't work over time... And it seems to be the result of what Napoleon in his day and Hitler in his could not do by force of war - bring the independent nations of Europe, namely England along with Ireland and the resistance in France and Italy to their knees. But at least, the Irish will be able to vote on the dissolution of their national sovereignty. We Yanks won't even have the chance to do that as the North American Union moves along with the NAFTA superhighway slicing our nation apart. For the record, those in the EU who say the EU is modeled after the United States miss entirely the founding of the United States of America. As a nation, we were not forged from independent nations with thousands of years of history and heritage under our belts, with pomp and circumstance, with Dukes and Earls. Our nation was forged in a crucible of revolution and expansion, our bloody fingertips clinging to the eastern shores of the cold Atlantic Coast. We grew from small colonies into 13 colonies who declared our independence from a power which had abused us and our Founders hammered out a 32 page Constitution which - although assaulted from every side by lawyers sworn to uphold it - remains somewhat intact even today. Back to the EU - empires come to mind, those of: Alexander the Great; Genghis Khan; the Roman Empire; even the British Empire. Globalization is current man's insidious power grab, gobbling up nations but without the human intelligence or cohesiveness of thought that held some great empires together. According to Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, President of the European Commission, "Globilization is one of the defining influences of our times." Well, no doubt, globalization seemed like a good idea to the Romans until the Visigoths came along. From a step removed, watching my own nation circle the drain under the guise of a tyranny of an "ism" we have yet to name - possibly "terrorism" or "homeland security" or "national security" - as the North American Union is being built leading to the Union of the Americas, I will tell you now these "unions" will not hold; people will be ever increasingly enslaved, and these unions such as the EU will fall. Why? Aside from the fact that Islamic Imperialism is also making its move toward international domination and, arguably the EU is making that "conquest" easier, the EU is man's attempt to do what Hitler and Napoleon could not do before - conquer the people and bleed them dry. People must have stability. Open borders, no effective local or national governments, with only governmental elitism from Brussels will create a "government" that is removed, cruel, inhumane, and cold. It will fall. Who among you will rise to salute the flag of the EU and sacrifice your life for something so far removed? Like our NAFTA, the Treaty of Lisbon - the EU - is ostensibly a trading entity that enslaves you, destroys your native culture and leaves you without a national heritage. It is an entity that turns you into mush under its grinding wheels of mediocrity. There is a book entitled, How the Irish saved Civilization. To the Irish people - save civilization once more and vote against the steel hand of tyranny wrapped in the velvet glove of a "treaty." In the final analysis, I have to ask what we need the UN for or all those embassies in Washington, D.C. when all we need is a few house for the EU, for the AU, for China, and for the Islamic Republics. What was it Europa, Oceania, Eurasia? Orwell didn't factor in the Islamic Empire... But like all "empires" of the past, these too shall pass... In the meantime, we are stuck with eroding freedoms and government on steroids. Let's leave the athletes alone and take the "elected" leaders off steroids. How about that for a solution? Well, Ireland - can you save civilization again? At least you get a vote, as meaningless as it is as was the vote against the EU Constitution cast by the French and the Danes, God bless 'em. I would suggest that signing the Treaty of Lisbon or voting "yes" on it as did the Irish Parliament is treason just as the formation of the North American Union is treason here at home. Just as I believe that going ahead with the EU is treason when the French and Danes voted against the EU Constitution. But if you don't believe me, please read Lisbon Treaty is high treason by the Baron at the Gates of Vienna. If it is "treason" in Sweden, signing on to the Treaty of Lisbon is treason committed by any elected official sworn to uphold his own nation's laws. Excuse me, Baron, for tagging along on your post but there seems to be a whole lot of "treason" going on by our own elected folks aiding and abetting enemies sworn to defeat us...Where do we start counting the ways? Keep up the good fight... Western man will win; he may yield on a battle or two but he will win the war for his Civilization, his life, and his freedoms.
