HR 1424: Rush to Socialism - the Vote
The House of Representatives (some of them at any rate) voted today to turn "home ownership" over to the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT and to the UNITED STATES TREASURY as well as to JUDGES who will now be authorized to re-negotiate home mortgage loans in contrast to presiding over criminal cases. Here's the vote on: HR 1424, Senate Usurption of House authority to develop spending bills. The bill is known as The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. It is worth your time to take a look at how the voting turned out. The bill was opposed by a bi-partisan vote. Some of the Congressmen of both parties listened to their constituents regarding the "sell out" this bill really is. The Federal Government has effectively taken over the housing market. It is an easy step now to take over everything else. You see, some folks will be paying their mortgage payments effectively to the Federal Government. But the illegals who bought houses under the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 can come back now; we'll be buying their houses for them. Why not? We're already paying for their health care and soon they'll be citizens too with dual citizenship. It is also worth your time to read a post by Perri Nelson, Please pass the Kool-aid or at Bloggers for Civil Discourse, Please pass the Kool-aid. Sooner rather than later, Americans will begin to see that when people who do not contribute to the financial health of the nation can vote to steal money from those who do, our nation will be lost beyond redemption. Our Founding Fathers had great faith in the American people but even Thomas Jefferson said that "when Congress is in session, no one is looking out for the American people." Well, the Nay's did and these brave folks deserve our support. As for the others in the House and the Senate, may they have a pox on all of their houses and suffer as the Duke of Norfolk did (along with his son, his grandson, and his great grandson) for his betrayal of King Henry VIII. The YEAS were Demoncrats 172/weak-kneed Republicans 91. The NAYS were Democrats 63 (good for you)/Republicans who could not be "strong-armed" 108. And as the bill "passed", The Market fell but Barney Frank, one of the creator's of the crisis, promised to "regulate" and perform surgery on our banking and financial industry. God help us! God bless our dear country and all who have fought and given their lives for our freedom. Yesterday and today, 74 Senators and 263 Congressmen walked on their graves. And our president signed the desegration into law.

Our POTUS, and EVERY Senator and Congresscritter that voted for this are nothing other than Socialist scumbags... There is a very ill wind blowing in this nation, and D.C. is NOT going to like it at all...
Thanks for stopping by, Texas. I gotta say, The Republic of Texas is looking better all the time.
