Shadow Government: is US president elected or selected?

I have come upon two books that seem to be "must reads" before any one of us casts our votes in November 2008: Compromised: Clinton, Bush, and the CIA by Terry Reed and John Cummings Shadow Warriors: The Untold Story of Traitors, Saboteurs, and the Party of Surrender by Kenneth Timmerman Timmerman's book is just recently published. "Compromised" was published in the glowing, "halcyon" days surrounding the Era of Bill Clinton in the 1990s. You may recall the days when more folks working in the White House could not pass security background checks than could. I'm also including a few additional links that may shed more light upon the groups working under cover of darkness that successfully control governments throughout the world. No wonder they are for "one world government." It is always easier to control a given peoples when "elected" leaders can pass the buck and say, "The United Nations made me do it." America's Shadow Government I know, scoff at the "conspiracy" notions but just search on "shadow government" and read a few more articles. As American citizens and as with our brothers and sisters in England, we seem to be caught between a rock and a hard place: we are set-upon by Islamic terrorists who want to blow us up; by economic conditions, many beyond our control; by invading hoards streaming across our respective borders; by international folks meeting to control all manner of "world events"; and who knows what else. We just need to read what we can get our hands on, keeping in mind that even the publication of books is or can be tightly controlled. But be of good cheer - for as long as we can hold onto it, we have the internet, and we have each other fighting from our keyboards as our brave men and women in the military fight with their hearts and souls to protect us from our more visible foes... It is our job to inform ourselves as best we can about the more "illusive" folks pulling strings behind the scenes.
