Pelosi, Reid, Waxman, and the Usual Suspects
You heard it here first: Regarding the Democrats and their violations of the Constitution, and usurption of authority: Beach Girl says, "When you can't legislate, investigate!" Aside from aiding, abetting, and giving comfort to the enemy in time of war, what else have the Democrats done for our military men and women lately? Aside from messing in our foreign policy and "trading" with the sponsors of serious terrorists, that is. In truth, the Dhimmicats misread the 2006 elections: 1) Americans want to win in Iraq - that's the change in direction we want, and 2) Democrats didn't win; Republicans lost because they abandoned conservative principles of limited government, et al. 2006 was not a mandate for Democrats and Socialism; it was a spanking for Republicans - too bad 'cause we all get to pay the price for the Republicans abandoning their core values. How do the Republicans regain the Congress and earn the White House? I rather support Tom Tancredo and Fred Thompson - I know Tancredo is considered a "second-tier" candidate and Fred Thompson has health concerns but then so do Rudy and John McCain. And I hear the Honorable Senator Arlene "the magic bullet" Specter has been busy too. My, my! Maybe President Bush will find that veto pen after all. Let's hope.

Beach Girl - Could you please be more specific about constitutional violations by the Democrats - with, a least, a modicum of intellectual curiosity and honesty?
Anon, I'll give it a try. It has to do with the separation of powers, et al. I was a tired beach girl when I posted that - no excuse but let me get back to that in the next day or hour or so. I will. Your request is fair. Your request is on my list and I'll go no deeper than the Constitution.
It will be painful to waste any intellectual curiosity on the Usual Suspects but I'll try. Oh, what a delightfully exacting task master you are!
BG,
I can come up with one right off the top of my head. HB 1022. Yes, I am well aware that the group of black robes has not ruled on the Constitutionality of any federal gun control law. However, if I recall correctly, at least one of our Founders warned us to not put our faith in judges. In addition the honorable Mr Jefferson stated that he feared that a 'Supreme Court' would eventually end up being looked on as the arbiters of what is Constitutional. I wish I could say that he was wrong, but Kelo vs New London does tend to validate Mr Jefferson's concerns.
On another, yet related note, have you heard about the proposed Department of Peace and Nonviolence?

Orwell must be chuckling in his grave. Admittedly, Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, et al... are likely also laughing uproariously while they fry in the bowels of Hell. The aforementioned TJ on the other hand is likely spinning in his grave like the axle of an express coach.
(As an aside, cool verification word :"joynr".)
Thanks, Renn, good to hear from you! As I hear someone say recently, "we are a nation collectively gone mad that can't even defend itself."
