Republican Senators regroup to grow body armor
As the dust is settling from the Leftists "win" on November 7th, I have taken a few minutes and had a look at the Republicans in that group of 49. What a fine group it can be - except for the RINOs, of course, who may always be amongst us. Admittedly, I am not familiar with all of them but two shining lights come to mind: Mitch McConnell, a man of honor, guts, and a take-no-prisoners attitude on some things. Perhaps he will be able to help some of the others grow stronger spines. Jeff Sessions, a fighter if ever there was one. A man of principle. I have watched his work on the Senate Judiciary Committee. A find man, indeed. I can't name them all. There were 14 to 15 Republicans up for re-election in 2006. The Republicans lost 6 Senate seats and the senator from Ohio probably sealed his future when he joined the Gang of Fourteen. It is no accident that they were called the "gang". Looks like 19 Republicans will be up for re-election in 2012 so maybe when we win the White House in 2008, they can keep those tax cuts for us before the cuts expire in 2010. I know the analysts are driving everyone nuts but my word of caution is don't over-analyze. If you lost control of the House and the Senate, you know why you did. Dust yourself off, dust off your copy of the Republican Party Creed, frame it on your desk, and get on with it. You can't out liberal the liberals. All you can do is the best you can. They obstructed you in both houses for 6 years; they slandered our military men and women; they slapped conservatives in the face; and with their 60 vote supermajority in the Senate, they spit on the Constitution. Face it, you spent our money like it was, uh, paper. You promised responsible government not to mention less government and what did we get: the Department of Homeland Security, more debt to foreign nations than we had amassed in the previous 250 some years of our existence combined, less not more freedom, etc, etc, etc. And enough illegal aliens to populate the entire state of California if every current American citizen moved out. Just grow those tough spines, stick to your conservative roots, weed out the liberal Republicans, and all will be well. I keep thinking that some shining stars will come to the front of the line now that they know the penalty for not following what they know in their hearts to be the best course for America. Conservativism is not dead; the Demipubs who won ran on conservative principles for the most part. Let's see if they stick to those campaign promises. Stay safe. God bless America, our troops, and our elected officials. We are all Americans; I would just caution some Senators to refrain from calling or likening our troops to Nazi storm troopers. First, it is absolutely wrong; and second, it is propaganda for our enemies; and third, it is very bad form for a United States Senator. You know who you are and the Muslims are "dancin' in the streets" because they see you as their support and our weakness - prove them right or prove them wrong and demonstrate that you see us as citizens and not victims, that you know this election was not about "more" spending, and that you will support the efforts of our military. The choice, of which you are so fond, is yours. To conservative Republicans, grow those spines and make me proud.

I just had a thought, and maybe it is not a very good thought. Has anyone ever considered a liberal to a conservative is somewhat like a muslim to an infidel? NO matter how much you appease a liberal or a muslim they will still hate you.
You are right on the hating part. We're in for a "whole lotta appeasing" going on. But how could that be, the liberals just all want to get along with everyone except their fellow American citizens who are conservatives.
Good point, hope more folks drop by and see it.
