Democrat Debacle in time of War: Vietnam, now Iraq

The kids in control of the government of the United States now are the same kids who did the hippy-thing in the 1960s. They brought our men home from Vietnam in defeat. They brought Lyndon Johnson down, so much so that he didn't even try for a second term. They are the same kids, some of whom served as lawyers (Hillary comes to mind) cutting their eye-teeth throughout the impeachment of President Nixon. Toppling governments of the United States and moving us toward full-blown Socialism, with an overlay of Marxism, every step of the way has been and is their goal. To be effective, they must control the education of our youth from K-12 all the way through graduate school. No greater waste of time or indoctrination goes on, with the exception of political correctness/re-education training along the lines of Mao forced upon our business and agencies, than in our universities under the guise of "academic" studies in women's studies, african studies, Islamic studies, et al. The kids use the term quagmire because they first trotted it out in the 1960s, paraded the death of our soldiers across the TV screens, and. like the gods that they are, they found that for their purposes "it was good". As for those who voted for the so-called conservative Democrats, your awakening may perhaps be the cruelest cut of all. Once in Congress and the Senate, those 'winning' words will be abandoned as the junior Congressmen and Senators fall before the monolithic choke-hold of the Lefists - Hill, Nance, Babs boxer, Chuckie, Teddy, and company. And the Murtha deployment of troops to Okinawa! Please, I've been there. God bless our troops! God protect us from the threat of Islamic Imperialism. Unless I see otherwise, I have no confidence that the 'new' Congress and Senate will protect us from anything. Alas, time may will prove that it is we who need protection from them. When the next terrorist attack comes to America's shores, it will come in the form of blackmail to coerce the democrats to capitulate more quickly. Let's see. Hope I'm wrong.
