S. 1639 - we musta made 'em mad
In the Senate, it's just about all over but for the popping of corks and pulling out the good cigars. Ah, for the love of the smoke-filled back rooms and the power of the bribe. Cloture on the "new and improved" Senate Bill on Immigration (S. 1639, Unaccompanied Alien Child Protection Act of 2007) will be voted on today. [Doesn't the name just make you feel like you've been gang-raped and left for dead?] Oh, the loathing and contempt some Senators must feel toward us! The feeling is mutual according to 80% of the American people who oppose amnesty. At Vanishing American, you will find a good post that explains what is expected, Amnesty vote looming. Radioactive Chief has a quotation in his header which is fitting for the Senators who vote "yes" on s.1639: "A nation can survive fools, or even the ambitious but it cannot survive traitors within." - Marcus Tullius Cicero Let us pray that the House of Representatives is made of sterner stuff! Just for the sake of discussion, I'll just be conservative and say 3,000 or 1% of the illegals given amnesty in 1986 were terrorists. Nobody knows for certain. Using the 1986 example, we could guess that from 12,000 to 20,000 of our "newly" minted American citizens will be terrorists. Can we, the American people, afford to have that many terrorists living among us as our neighbors? As American citizens? I'm not even getting into the 45,000 Americans have been killed through vehicular homicides or murders by illegal aliens since 9/11. Senators who support S. 1639 will have our blood on their hands. I urge you to "keep a list" of all Senators who vote YES to pass S. 1639 and work to defeat them in their next bid for re-election. A list of Senators can be found here: Contact Senators, Class I, II, III. Class I - up for re-election in Nov. 2012; Class II - up for re-election in Nov. 2008; Class 111 - up for re-election in Nov. 2010. The Senators who vote YES are putting our lives at risk. Let's hold 'em all accountable! God bless everyone of you, loyal, law-abiding Americans who have fought as hard as you can to protect our nation from the Senators and a President who rush to "kick us to the curb." Man, the Dubai Ports Deal and the Harriet Miers debacle must have really made 'em angry! How dare we!
