American Jihad - based in Sharia Law

Today, I started Steven Emerson's book, American Jihad - The Terrorists Living Among Us. Intuitively, I know of the treat that Islamic Imperialism poses for the world. Reading this handy primer on the anti-American Muslim groups masquerading among us as charitable or religious groups, many tax-exempt, I pause to consider that we are indeed on a suicide mission. Mr. Emerson lists and defines numerous groups that clearly state their mission. It is my understanding that the over-all mission is to subvert our laws and freedoms and replace these traditions and laws with Islamic rule. From what I read in American Jihad, Mr. Emerson seems to stress that our agencies find themselves at a loss to deal with the subversion and hatred eminating from conferences and lectures sponsored by these groups. But I have to ask, do we not have laws to deal with organizations fomenting terror and essentially rebellion and treason? I know "we the people" can replace our govenment if we choose in accordance with the Constitution of the United States of America. If Mr. Emerson is correct, there are well-established groups within the United States that are insighting people within their sphere into violent hatred against Jews, Christains, and other's who do not follow Islam. As well as against Western society itself. If such rhetoric is not a call to overthrow and eradicate our way of life, I don't know what would be. Mr. Emerson mentions one such organization that he says "appears to be largely inactive" at this present time, that group is the Islamic Cultural Workshop (ICW) which has sold materials espousing the views of Hizb-ut-Tahrir. I first came across a reference to Hizb-ut-Tahrir at the Gates of Vienna and have since learned more through Mr. Emerson's book.

Emerson states that the philosophy of Hizb-ut-Tahrir, founded in Jerusalem in 1953, is "simple and extremely militant: "Muslims nowadays live in Dar-al-Kufr [the World of Infidels]."(p.214) According to Emerson,

"Theoretically speaking, the Khilafah (Caliphate) would be governed solely by Islamic law; it would be neither liberal nor democratic. Hizb-ut-Tahrir makes it clear what this society would be like when it states that "The four common 'freedoms' [belief, speech, ownership of capital, and personal freedom] are in conflict with the laws of Islam." (pgs. 214-215)

Western nations-countries define this ideology solely as a religion at their own peril. They give these views special, privileged status at their peril. Unfortunately, allowing such ideologically based groups to exist and propogate in our societies is to give those who espouse the view of "death to the infidel" tacit approval. While world "leaders" dither and churn out paperwork at the UN and in other such "debating" bodies, the forces against Western Civilization grow stronger. These forces infiltrate cities around the world; these forces have one goal and one goal only - to establish an Islamic State under Sharia Law worldwide. The leaders of the current movement of Islamic Imperialism to "conquer" the West are nothing if not clear. They do not mince words; they do not prevaricate. In the United States we have had Jewish ladies shot down in a Jewish center in Washington State; we have had a Muslim man/student in North Carolina drive his vehicle into a coffee shop injuring patrons; recently we have had a Muslim man go on a driving spree, wounding men, women, and children in California. Are these men acting on the call to jihad? Should the Islamists be successful in their worldview goal, the West cannot look startled or surprised. The Supreme Leaders will be able to say, in truth, "We told you so."
