Afghanistan & Pakistan could end "terrorism" within days

I'm all for it...but then with the terrorists gone, would the departure of the US dollar be far behind? Afghanistan-Pakistan Security talks continue in Kabul:

More than 600 delegates from Pakistan and Afghanistan have gathered in Kabul for a third day of talks Saturday aimed at improving border security and strengthening bilateral relations. Tribal leaders talk during a break from meetings in Kabul, Afghanistan Delegates said Friday's session of the four-day peace conference, or grand jirga, focused on specific issues dividing the two countries. Security has been tight, with thousands of well-armed soldiers patrolling the Afghan capital on concerns that Taleban insurgents may try to disrupt the assembly. Many Afghans expressed hope that the conference will help reduce violence in both countries. Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf is expected to attend the closing session on Sunday. A second conference is planned for Pakistan at a later date. On Thursday, Afghan President Hamid Karzai said terrorism could be eliminated within days if Pakistan and Afghanistan work together. Earlier this week, the Pakistani leader abruptly canceled his participation for the opening session, citing domestic problems. Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has been attending the conference in place of General Musharraf. Mr. Aziz said Afghan groups still have not reconciled, and that Afghanistan cannot blame others for its troubles. The governor of Pakistan's violent Northwest Frontier Province, Ali Muhammad Jan Aurkzai, said little progress on the matter can be made unless the outlawed Taleban is invited to participate in the conference.
