Islam's ruthless global war against Christianity

It's easy to deny that Islam has thrown the dice and decided that now is the time to overthrown the Great Satan - that would be Western Civilization generally and The United States of America, more specifically - but the following account strips away some of the veneer folded into the "war on terror" rhetoric. A "holy war" has been declared against Christianity by Islamic leaders and, in our age of computers and speed-of-now cell phones along with the PR support from Western cable news channels, the attacks are ruthless and multi-faceted. Patrick Poole wrote the following in The American Thinker: Islam's Global War against Christianity. From Poole,
From Nigeria to Indonesia, Christians are under seige in virtually every single country in the Muslim world, the victims of countless acts of discrimination, depredation, brutality, and murder that are so widespread and systematic that it can rightfully be called the new Holocaust. This time, however, the perpetrators of this Holocaust aren't wearing swastikas, but kufi skull caps and hijabs.
So I have to ask here - why are we denying these Christians the last bastion of refuge from Islamic intimidation and terrorism. Why are we opening our borders to "terrorists" who practice the "religion of peace?" Do we want to be persecuted here too or do we want to stand as the last place of refuge for these Christians embattled world-wide? The post came to me by way of Larwyn and I must include her comments as well pertaining to President Bush's intention to name a "special envoy" to the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC). From Larwyn:
Once that "special envoy" to the OIC is named and we know where his office is - we should inundate him with e-mails, phone calls, etc with our demands... [For my part, I thought we already had an envoy to Islamic nations under the guise of our Ambassador to the United Nations. President Bush announced last week (end of June after he spoke to the Muslim Brotherhood front groups) that he will be sending a special envoy to the 57-member Organization of Islamic Countries. Hopefully, the systematic persecution of Christians and other religious minorities will be the first and primary item in the new envoy's portfolio, with the 2007 annual report of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom and State Department's Annual Report on International Religious Freedom, which name virtually every single country in the OIC for its human rights abuses and religious cleansing, as evidence for our country's concern. The fact remains that not a single Christian or Jew lives in peace in the Muslim world, and if it is truly our nation's foreign policy to spread democracy around the world, this issue is the perfect topic for us to press...
Please read Patrick Poole's post. I have been keeping this to pass on and now is the time. Thanks to Larwyn for her relentless pursuit of the news - the news the Mainstream Media does not want us to see or hear.

"Do we want to be persecuted here too..."

I think that's what it'll take BG.

MK - it is happening here now, in subtle ways but then CAIR is using the "lawsuits" theme to shut us up.

Please see Robert Spencer's speech to the Young America's Foundation. I posted on it. I just don't have the link this minute. It is GOOD.

Hope you are having a good day downunder. It is HOT here. I look at the ocean/bay and yet not a drop of rain in sight.

I may come over and do a bit of link-whoring. I think a lot of your viewers/readers would like to see this speech if they haven't already. Okay?

Consider:
The missing element in every human 'solution' is
an accurate definition of the creature.

The way we define 'human' determines our view of self,
others, relationships, institutions, life, and future. Many
problems in human experience are the result of false
and inaccurate definitions of humankind premised
in man-made religions and humanistic philosophies.

Human knowledge is a fraction of the whole universe.
The balance is a vast void of human ignorance. Human
reason cannot fully function in such a void; thus, the
intellect can rise no higher than the criteria by which it
perceives and measures values.

Humanism makes man his own standard of measure.
However, as with all measuring systems, a standard
must be greater than the value measured. Based on
preponderant ignorance and an egocentric carnal
nature, humanism demotes reason to the simpleton
task of excuse-making in behalf of the rule of appe-
tites, desires, feelings, emotions, and glands.

Because man, hobbled in an ego-centric predicament,
cannot invent criteria greater than himself, the humanist
lacks a predictive capability. Without instinct or trans-
cendent criteria, humanism cannot evaluate options with
foresight and vision for progression and survival. Lack-
ing foresight, man is blind to potential consequence and
is unwittingly committed to mediocrity, collectivism,
averages, and regression - and worse. Humanism is an
unworthy worship.

The void of human ignorance can easily be filled with
a functional faith while not-so-patiently awaiting the
foot-dragging growth of human knowledge and behav-
ior. Faith, initiated by the Creator and revealed and
validated in His Word, the Bible, brings a transcend-
ent standard to man the choice-maker. Other philo-
sophies and religions are man-made, humanism, and
thereby lack what only the Bible has:

1.Transcendent Criteria and
2.Fulfilled Prophetic Validation.

The vision of faith in God and His Word is survival
equipment for today and the future. Only the Creator,
who made us in His own image, is qualified to define
us accurately.

Human is earth's Choicemaker. Psalm 25:12 He is by
nature and nature's God a creature of Choice - and of
Criteria. Psalm 119:30,173 His unique and definitive
characteristic is, and of Right ought to be, the natural
foundation of his environments, institutions, and re-
spectful relations to his fellow-man. Thus, he is orien-
ted to a Freedom whose roots are in the Order of the
universe. selah

That human institution which is structured on the
principle, "...all men are endowed by their Creator with
...Liberty...," is a system with its roots in the natural
Order of the universe. The opponents of such a system are
necessarily engaged in a losing contest with nature and
nature's God. Biblical principles are still today the
foundation under Western Civilization and the American
way of life. To the advent of a new season we commend the
present generation and the "multitudes in the valley of
decision."

Let us proclaim it. Behold!
The Season of Generation-Choicemaker Joel 3:14 KJV

Jim, when are you going to start your blog? Or do you have one already?

It is Sunday morning for me and I'll admit, I can't get my wee tiny brain around much as I try to wake up and then be off to church.

Thank you for your comment and references, especially to the KJV - the Book from which I learned to read.

Jim Baxter's copy and paste of his post is a complete non-sense. Just by quoting the versus you are not proving anything. Why can't you in a simple language explain your god and his injustice to billions of unprivileged population of the world including the children that go to sleep with empty stomach and millions of us in USA have so much that we don't know what to do with it. How dare you thinking that because you have accepted some manmade religion, you are entitled to deciding how others should live or your god protects you and screw the rest? take your head out of the sand and look and see what is going on around the world.

jimiirani - get a life or better yet, use some of the wealth you have acquired in the USA and do what many of us do - personally give/donate that money to help others.

I am not entitled to decide how others should live. If men in some cultures wish to keep women in slavery, those women must find a way to overcome the tyranny if that is what they want. If not, they can continue to be beaten and treated as chattel.

I would suggest that I know much more about what is going on around the world than you might but then you are so filled with hatred. Religions are man-made, including Islam, and many have been created so that the leaders will have power and control over the followers.

For me personally, the relationship I have with God or that God has with me is personal. For that I don't need a Mullah or anyone else as an intermediary. I don't care how others live unless they try through the sword or the twisting of our laws to impose their "politically-based" cradle-to-grave pseudo-religion upon me. Then I say "Enough is enough. It is time to make our country uncomfortable so that they will leave."

There is one so-called "religion" today that is totally incompatible with our Western form of self-government where we do believe in the separation of church and state. That "religion" is the state and does not fit within a nation that has "freedom of religion" because there is not freedom in a "religion" of slavery.
