Islamophobia - Now we're the terrorists! Incredible!
Well, if this doesn't beat all! Really beat all! The following is taken from a link provided by Gunnihund, Islamophobia - worst kind of terrorism. Now we're the terrorists! Incredible! Who buys this slander against Western folks? Now, folks, it takes some balls or duplicity - encouraged to advance the goals of the Islamic Caliphate - to say that Western folks are engaging in Islamophobia and discriminating against folks from the Middle East or just those who practice the "religion of peace" and that prudent behavior on our part equals TERRORISM and not only terrorism but the worst kind of terrorism. Out of curiosity, just how many folks have been burned to death or had to jump from 110 stories into the open air as on 9/11 because someone lambasted Saint Mohammed or created a few funny cartoons? Frankly, I don't think Allah cares and I'm sure Mohammed doesn't; no, the only folks who care are the little turban-topped mullahs who just can't get everyone to bow to them. Sorry, fellahs! Yet, in North America and in Europe, our lions of leadership who could stand to have a backbone implanted are kowtowing to the demands of less than 2% of our population in the United States and doing the bowing on "religious" terms - expressly forbidden in our US Constitution. Give me a freaking break! Note to the illustrious leaders of the OIC - tell your boys and girls to stop blowing us up, and maybe we wouldn't be so easily tempted to reveal the tyranny that is Islam, at least as depicted in the Qur'an and practiced today in some nations and which you want to inflict upon us. By the way, I read a bit of the Old Testament recently which had very explicit rules of how to treat wives but, fellas, we've moved beyond that. Good grief. Your followers engage in behavior that threatens not only our way of life but our very lives - as in kills folks - and we're the terrorists? Are you really able to say such things with a straight face? You must be laughing at how easy the take-over of Europe is proving to be. Or is it? Have the Europeans thrown in the towel yet? Don't they have a little fight left in them? Me thinks they do - Denmark comes to mind for one. By the way, none of my friends "fear" Islam; we don't "hate" Islam or Muslims for that matter. Why should we? We have many other things to dislike - the IRS and taxes for one, the use of airport fees to supply your boys with foot-washing stations for God's sake, and of course the invasion of our nation. And university officials at public institutions turning classrooms into mini-mosques. Phobia - fear and/or hatred - just isn't in the right ballpark. Disgust perhaps at the way some Muslim organizations are using our laws in attempts to restrict our freedoms is more like it. Disgust at some Muslim organizations staging "taxi driver sit-ins - not taking passengers for xyz reason", that sort of thing makes us angry and you don't want us cranky; you want us asleep. A good old back-sliding Muslim just like a good old back-sliding Baptist - doesn't hurt anyone, doesn't hack off heads with rusty swords, doesn't fly airliners into buildings, doesn't blow up subways, and doesn't try to push his/her religion on the rest of us - thank you very much. Here's what the ministers had to say as linked by Gunnihund:
The ministers described Islamophobia as a deliberate defamation of Islam and discrimination and intolerance against Muslims. “This campaign of calumny against Muslims resulted in the publication of the blasphemous cartoons depicting Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in a Danish newspaper and the issuance of the inflammatory statement by Pope Benedict XVI,” they said. During a speech in Germany last year, the Pope quoted a 14th Century Christian emperor who said the Prophet had brought the world only “evil and inhuman” things. The Pope’s remarks aroused the anger of the whole Islamic world. “The increasingly negative political and media discourse targeting Muslims and Islam in the United States and Europe has made things all the more difficult,” the foreign ministers said. “Islamophobia became a source of concern, especially after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, but the phenomenon was already there in Western societies in one form or the other,” they pointed out. “It gained further momentum after the Madrid and London bombings. The killing of Dutch film director Theo van Gogh in 2004 was used in a wicked manner by certain quarters to stir up a frenzy against Muslims,” the ministers pointed out. Van Gogh had made a controversial film about Muslim culture. The OIC foreign ministers deplored the misrepresentation in the Western media of Islam and Muslims in the context of terrorism. “The linkage of terrorists and extremists with Islam in a generalized manner is unacceptable,” they said. “This is further inciting negative sentiments and hatred in the West against Muslims,” they said. The ministers also pointed out that whenever the issue of Islamophobia was discussed in international forums, the Western bloc, particularly some members of the European Union, tried to avoid discussing the core issue and instead diverted the attention from their region to the situation of non-Muslims and human rights in the OIC member states. The foreign ministers said prejudices against Islam were not helping the situation. “Because of Islamophobia, millions of Muslims in the Western countries, many of whom were already underprivileged in their societies for a variety of reasons, are further alienated and targeted by hatred and discrimination.”The fact is that most Americans just simply don't care what Muslims do as long as they leave us alone, go to work, raise their families, and let us do the same. To say the North Americans engage in the "deliberate defamation of Islam and discrimination and intolerance against Muslims" is just crap, horse-pucky. The last statement in the previous paragraph is just simple garbage - the hatred of which you speak is simply not in our religion - the one with the Golden Rule. Look closer to home for the hatred of which you speak. Muslims in America have it better here than any place else on earth - so why destroy that with demands for superior treatment, for special status? Hmmm... We simply don't care until Muslims want and demand special treatment and demand that they be regarded as superior to the citizens of the "host" nation 'cause that tune just don't play in Peoria! Islamophobia is not terrorism! Terrorism, blowing up buildings, shooting Jewish women in a temple or Jewish center in Seattle, staging the flying imams stunt - now those are acts of terrorism. If you don't want Muslims to eventually become the victims you seem to long for them to be, then put the skids to the events that raise our curiosity and engage us in debate. If you'd curtail the acts of terrorism, we wouldn't even have heard of Islam much less begun to study it. And we wouldn't notice the mosques going up on every corner. And lay off the folks in Europe - their nations are being changed before their very noses and not for the better. How about you get your boys and girls to stop "terrorizing" folks; stop killing innocent civilians; stop bombing Bali, London, Madrid, New York, the Pentagon - to name a few places; and I'll bet we'll let you crawl back into the woodwork and not even know that you were chomping away at the very foundations of our great nations, of our liberties and freedoms. You have alerted us; your representatives shout it loud and clear; what do you expect us to do, not discuss Islam? We are trying to understand what is it about a "religion" that engages in honor killings when a young girl in the family is raped; we are trying to make sense of a 7th century warrior-cult that preaches that "reform" is not possible. Don't blame us because the acts of terrorism (over 8,000 since 9/11) conducted by your followers got our attention! But defaming Islam; not a chance. The words of the Qur'an speak for themselves. And Islamophobia - the worst sort of terrorism - shame on yourselves! And discriminating against Muslims - get real! We're too busy beating each other about the head and shoulders to waste our time with Muslims. And don't go pulling that "Rosa Parks" analogy on us either! I know of Rosa Parks, and believe me, Somali taxi drivers throwing a snit in Minneapolis ain't no Rosa Parks! Pope Benedict XVI - good for the Pope! And exactly what is “The increasingly negative political and media discourse targeting Muslims and Islam in the United States and Europe has made things all the more difficult," the thing that is being made more difficult - the Islamification of Europe and the West? We are not targeting Muslims and Islam. Islam and Muslims - those we call radical Islamists - are targeting us. I know the Qur'an expressly allows for lying to non-Muslims but for goodness sake - just some truth would be helpful to the discussion. Or is that it - we are to have no discussion? Look on the bright side - sales of the Qur'an in the US are up. Reading is a wonderful thing! The thing I really like about the Islamist leaders is that they create the incident and then blame us if we try to defend ourselves. It is amazing to behold! “The linkage of terrorists and extremists with Islam in a generalized manner is unacceptable,” they said. Well, duh! All of the terrorists from the beltway snipers to the Bali bombers were practicing the "religion of peace." What connection should a reasonable person make?
