US Constitution - We the people
The preamble or the first paragraph of The Constitution of the United States reads:
We the people of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.Several key phrases following "WE the people", would be "more perfect Union," "establish Justice," "insure domestic Tranquility," "provide for the common defense," "promote the general Welfare," and "secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity." Finally it is WE the people who do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. Well, then, that explains why federal judges don't mind running roughshod over that Constitution and place injunctions against folks like the citizens of Hazleton, PA. But how are we doing on the other items: 1. a more perfect Union: Well, LA is an established city of Mexico. We have "sanctuary" cities and the police in many cities including Norfolk, VA (I think) are not allowed to question a person's citizenship. So what's with the Real ID, privacy-robbing bill? 2. establish Justice: Yep, doing good here. Border Patrol agents are prosecuted for doing their job; the Mexican national drug smuggler is given immunity to testify against the AMERICAN border agents (I'll bet he sang a merry tune); and two women illegals are suing one of the agents for fragments of bullets that come through the sides of the van they were huddled in that was fleeing BACK into Mexico. The dear ladies were trying to cross illegally. And some folks say we haven't been abandoned by our government we pay 'tribute' to for their protection. Well, no worries, the Democrats are going to increase the vig but we won't be any more protected. 3. insure domestic Tranquility: Doing good here too! MS-13 is alive and well, nearly beheading folks all about and now the gang from El Salvador, all legal residents no doubt, has an estimated 30,000 members in the US. 4. provide for the common defense: Doing great here! The common defense for other nations but not for the protection of our own. One of the things the Founders stressed was that we could trade with anyone but we should not involve ourselves in external altercations such as being the "shuttle diplomacy" globe trotters as we are in Israel. Israel can take care of itself very well. 5. promote the general Welfare: Not doing well on that one unless Welfare means the welfare state for illegals which is not what our Founding Fathers had in mind. 6. secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity: I can answer that. The educational system is throwing away the best years of our youth by what our children are not being taught. Our children are being saddled with taxes that will bring about a decrease in the standard of living of us all and I foresee our slide into a third world nation with an entrenched slave class and then the working-poor, formerlly known as the middle-class. Our riches through education, medical care, our social security system, our city services such as police protection and on and on are being robbed from our fingers be federal court edicts and Congressional laws where the illegals have more rights and access to services than Americans who paid the taxes. [And don't give me the crap that we are all Americans. That is pure BS.] You can add to this list. And I want to know what happened to the Monroe Doctrine where we kept foreign nations from tromping around in Central and South America. I need some info on this. I hear it is "rumor" and can't be verified. Yesterday, I heard Neal Boortz say on his radio show that Hugo Chavez has a training camp set up on one of the islands off of Venezuela. This training camp is used to train Arab men how to speak Mexican dialects, eat and act Mexican so that these Middle Easterners could traipes across the border with their Mexican brothers. Is this true? And if so, why don't we take it out? At least we stood up to Russia when they were arming Castro. Can't take on Chavez? Of course not. Citco Service stations pepper the naval bases around here. Seen them myself. That is ON the Navy Bases.

Steve, somehow I deleted your comment by accident. Please send it again. Thank you. As to the bases, let's just say we have a large nuc. sub. base here and the Clintons invited the head Admiral honcho for China to tour the base a few years back.
