Saving Western Civilization - Yes, we can!

Suzanne Fields has written the best editorial I have read lately on the subject of "saving Western Civilization." In The culture, stupid, Suzanne Fields has this to say:

"Citizens of the West, who are way ahead of their timid leaders, understand that this (the failed doctor-bombings in England) was merely one small battle against evil men and women who hate our freedoms and are dedicated to destroying our way of life...It's not merely a war emanating from a lunatic fringe of Islam, but a modern out-break of an ancient grudge." "Only Islam, once a great influence of culture and philosophy, alone of the three great religions seems to have retreated as time moves inexorably forward...Islam made a U-turn toward the past."

From a presentation by Herb Meyer, an assistant to the director of the Central Intelligence Agency in the Reagan administration,

"We are becoming the last holdouts of the traditional Judeo-Christian culture...The only people who can hurt us are ourselves, by losing our culture. If we give up the Judeo-Christian culture, we become just like the Europeans. The culture war is the whole ball game. If we lose it, there isn't another America to pull us out."

Suzanne Fields is always good and right on point in her writing. Please click over and read her editorial. To me, in between the lines, is the belief that we can defend our culture and we can win this most ruthless and barbaric of "culture wars" that has been brought into our very nation. It will take the best in each of us and it will take a will our leaders too easily are willing to toss overboard. Let's keep 'em on their toes. They fear the loss of their power far more than they "fear" the Islamists who would destroy us. We have to keep informed and keep the pressure on - locally, at the state level, and at the federal level as well. God bless America's new citizens who have embraced our unique Western culture, learned English, and assimilated! Who are Americans!
