Could be chilly in the Senate too with Dorgan bowing out. Chris Dodd - never met a skirt he didn't chase with the dearly departed Teddy - is ? retiring or just knows he can't win a re-election bid.
And what about Harry Reid's chances in Nevada? Money can buy a lot of votes so we'll have to wait and see. But I understand 3 democrat Senators are leaving the nest. Well, there go the 60 votes unless Harry Reid can buy out Ms. Snow and her Collins friend.
The House of Representatives could certainly use a NEW speaker of the house. She's the richest woman in DC, or so I've heard. May even be richer than Feinstein with all the 100's of millions that go to her husband in Chinese contracts. That should be a conflict of interest that makes Diane ineligible to hold a Senate seat. Ah well....
Some nasty Democrat Senators are up for re-election in 2010 so if we're ever going to retire old Babs from the Senate, Babs Boxer that is, now is the time...
