In an opinion piece on August 27, 2006, Cal Thomas combines both "wars" in Iraq and the other war.

From Crusader Rabbit, this is not a platform for leftist tripe.
The Declaration of War resolution, once introduced, will alter the conversation. It will mean that each Congessman can be asked if they favor that resolution. Most will say "no", because we are already doing x,y, and z, however they will probably have to acknowledge who the enemy is. Further, if and when the next attack comes, the citizens and the media can say: OK, now, after this attack..., do you support the War resolution? It creates a dynamic.

If you want to, e-mail me so I can work with you more directly. I am new at this but the other day, I tried to copy some of my comments/responses I had typed on your site. I wanted to keep the ideas and have them available when I start putting attention of the declaration. Hope I didn't mess up anything or make your system go crazy.
