The Senators and Congressmen have turned their "elections" into welfare jobs with holidays and benefits - impossible to pry them apart - they have even made it illegal for an honest representative to actually work when he/she is at home with his constitutents.

Off subject, but I think we should deny Jimmy Carter entry into the United States, revoke his citizenship and passport. He is consorting with the enemy - better to leave him out of the country - our country.Beach Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05210025685265415598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30462652.post-1891926938286445592008-04-21T17:02:00.000-04:002008-04-21T17:02:00.000-04:00Not only would it put more power back in the state...Not only would it put more power back in the state's hands, it would make the election of state legislators more important. The original intent of the sentate was to have the overall issues of a state represented in Washington, not another constituency group advocate for special interests. Washington is so broken though, this is just a bandaid. We need to turn over the congress and senate more often and keep them away from DC for longer periods of time. DC is too easy a target for the lobbyists, and too far away for individual constituents to have influence...Richhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18410968201690477592noreply@blogger.com
